  • what's inside a washing machine?
In this video I am showing you step by step process to teardown a twin-tub washing machine and how to salvage washing machine components. For this video, I am using a 100% fully functional washing machine, but it has not been used for many years. Hence, I thought to salvage it before dumping it into trash.
*Electric Shock Hazard :- Discharge two motor starter capacitors before working with them.

Hope you find what you're looking for. There isn't a lot of information out there when it comes to portables.

I have a similar washer. The dryer will stop mid way during its cycle. Could it be the brush on the motor or failing capacitor?

1:44 definitely not extremely powerful motors. These washing machines are the biggest load of cheap junk rubbish you can get, made to last barely a year if you're lucky.
When they go wrong we just smash them to pieces, box them up and dump the rubbish on the MD's desk.
He just sits there with big eyes and a mouth full of teeth and doesn't know what to say. That says a lot about the rubbish he knowingly (and quite happily) allows his company to sell to the public.
