Definitely learned something just by listening what the instructors and you guys told. Ain't easy sometimes going back into a student mindset, but if you want improve in something you have to. There's no way around that. Always good to learn new stuff. Seemed like a hella good time in general. Sorry to see and hear about the crash though. Recover well man!
dont know if you saw my comment on the last post but here it is again: For your friends R1m with the throttle slack. There is a post on the r1-forum by a guy called R1mG titled "2021 r1m throttle relearn". The thread shows how you can remove the slack/play in the throttle before it revs which makes it feel less on/off and strange. Id recommend checking that out if hes interested in fixing the issue!
Great video my brother. After watching it, it looks like you got some chatter on your neutral side of turning before some acceleration.. But we are all glad that you walked away from your crash. I know we all have learning to do, at every level of track day riding...
Killing it with these videos, living my dream through you. Couldn't think of a nicer guy to be watching having all this fun. But i missed out on the roasts today felt like you kept it tame :)
Maybe these tips will help you, I race a r6. These bikes they dont make power after 15,200 rpms, so if you want to squezze all the power shift at 15,100 or 15,200 if you shift at 16,000 thats almost a 10hp loss and putting wear n tear on the engine. Another issue, is your forks they look to be too low, meaning the front end is too low. Try this, put the bike on a front triple stand make sure the front wheel is fully extended. Grab a tape measure and measure from the top of the lower triple clamp to the center of the front axle. Many guys run at 525-530mm if your front end is too low the bike would feel unstable. I highly recommend you find a good suspension tuner to help with the bikes geometry. Another thing that may help you is to spread apart your handle bars, you have race clip ons. Take benefit in getting the front handle bars as straight as possible. This will give you better feel for the front end. But keep it up, your riding has improved greatly. A good tool to use if you want to be more smoother and have better lines is to play around on minigp's on small karting tracks. These little bikes are great tools, for you I wouldnt hop on a ohvale 190, I would start slower maybe kayo 150. Even kayo you can break the tire loose on exit
Those are all great tips. From adobo’s answer he thinks he knows all and probably won’t do any of the things u suggested. Even though they all would help make a faster/safer bike.
I've done 5 track days here in Utah. When I lived near the track in Auburn, I had no interest in being on 2 wheels. But the heat here literally melted my tires last time I went out. I'm going to bring my bike up to Ridge Motorsports later this summer and ride with one of the owners. You can never have too much seat time or skills.
Man! Keith Code set the standard with that school! That track is beautiful too! I am curious how much you think your riding improved after taking this class.

All the questions i answered till I failed where mostly about alcohol consumption which I don’t know much about since I don’t drink at all and really never have and I’m 33 yrs old.
