When ever I think about the bad I did, this good moment creeps in, and I focus on it. Great movie... Keeps me alive, if you can believe that.

Yes this is true seeing as yesterday is about a man who sees the opportunity to rip of the beatles for whatever reason, as in Across the Universe they make a story out of paul john george, and ringos songs, very beautiful.

Not even gonna lie. This literally my favorite part of the movie. My little cousin name is Jude and his mom showed him this song and now anytime you ask him to sing his song he sings this song. It’s adorable

Are the characters supposed to represent famous people? Max being Kurt Cobain, Jojo being Jimi Hendrix, Jude being Paul Mcartney, Sadie maybe Janis Joplin....? I don't know I always just kinda got that impression....

Max definitely looks/sounds like Kurt but it doesn't fit the time period. Max is just a character based on the Beatles song, "Maxwell's Silver Hammer".
They're all named after characters in Beatles' songs.
They are all correct apart from Max being Kurt. Judy Traymor, the director, specifically created Sadie and Jo-Jo with Jimi and Janis in mind!
They sure are! W the exception of Max. Not to mention his character never implies a shotgun in the mouth. Depression maybe but hell it was Vietnam he’d just gotten home from.

I saw this movie for the first time in my philosophy class during my senior year of high school. At the time, I was obsessed with the Beatles. Since then my musical taste has expanded. However, this movie never fails to remind me why I fell in love with music. Long live The Beatles.
Whenever I'm in a bad mood or feel like I'm about to cry, I always play this song. It makes me feel so much better. Beautifully put together honestly.

This was one of my favorite parts of the movie, not just because of the singing, but anytime you have a movie where you have a group of such great friends that get separated & then back together, it's always a good part
a comment so bad it no longer exists? hmm either way I was born in 91 and listened to the Beatles my whole life and Across the Universe mad me feel better about my love of music and the era that a lot of the Beatles song were written in. I am also happy with the fact that there are now more people who can appreciate these Artists, for that is what the Beatles are.

I think this is, by far, the most creative muscal-like movie I've ever watched (and I've seen quite a myriad of them!) I love how this movie's got where there's singing, but it's taken like normal speaking by the other characters.
