“As the stomach turns” is my favorite Carol Burnett show sketch. It’s one of if not the only recurring sketch that appears in all 11 seasons and in the 1979 revival series “Carol Burnett & Company.” I hope they show the latter series on RUclips eventually. Sally Fields was in the “As The Stomach Turns” sketch on Carol Burnett & Company
Bing Crosby as father Sarge, how nice! His version of 'White Christmas' is the world's best-selling single, with estimated sales in excess of 50 million physical copies worldwide. He was one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century. And Harvey in drag is hilarious! 🤣
Crosby also was known to have rather stern habits with raising his children. He was a bit notoroious for that. But his legacy of classic films like The Bells of Saint Mary's and the "Road" movies with Bob Hope--- plus his crooning many tunes--- cannot be cast aside because of personal life choices, I suppose.
This was the very first appearance of Harvey as Mother Marcus! Carol actually ad-libbed shutting the door and then Harvey got her right backmwith covering the breasts! You can see Carol losing it when she opens the door again!
Watching this "As the Stomach Turns" clip, Carol ad-libs by shutting the door and Harvey gets right back at her by grabbing his boobs and Carol just can't hold herself together as she turns away to the side
I love Harvey korman in drag it is hilarious and it always has been

Harvey is so excellent in this role. His accent and giant kabongas are hilarious 😂
Not only does he look like his mother but he is his mother!
Things brings back such wonderful memories of one of the best variety shows.

Harvey Korman doing his bit as Mother Marcus makes every old drag bit done by Milton Berle look absolutely lame. Harvey, you're the top!!!!
Where can I find an art teacher like that? 😍
I wonder if Carol was bitting her tongue to keep from full blown laughter
Yes
Funny!
