I went and saw inside out 2 yesterday with my family and i absolutely loved it! I nearly cried when i heard this song, I remember watching the first movie when i was 9 and seeing the second movie brought back so many memories from when i was a kid. I feel so old now, time flys by so fast nowadays. (Also one little spoiler alert) When joy said "maybe, when you grow up, you feel less joy.." that line hit me so hard that i nearly cried, because i can relate to that feeling, because it truly does feel thet way when you get older.
I saw someone talk about a theory-kinda thing, she said they waited us to grow up so we will be actually teen-adult while watching it. I agree with you a lot, even the sound tracks brings me so many memories and nostalgia, and even if youre 20 i think "nostalgia" as a character should access that table too lol. It felt like we all aged with riley, and i was really gonna cry during *spoiler* she was having a panic attack and then joy got in. ❤
@@sayo_5494 completely agree with you there, I also feel like they wanted to wait on releasing it as well that way we'd all grow up first then watch it. Some of the characters definitely got some character development as well, which is nice to see especially after the first movie. (I personally love the second movie more, but I still love the first one as well)

I was only 5 years old when they released Inside Out 1. And there I saw Riley's five-year-old appearance in the middle. Yesterday I watched Inside Out 2, and I'm 14, a teenager one year older than Riley. I love both of the movies. They visualize and personify emotions and thoughts 💭😀 I'm really looking forward to Inside Out 3, the movie will probably be finished by the time I graduate high school. Hopefully, it will portray the transition from a teenager to an independent adult.
I was 17 when Inside Out first came out. I didn’t understand the movie well of course until years later as I got older. All the different emotions Riley was feeling and the sad scenes made me cry so hard. I felt for her because I used to suffer from depression and bipolar like moods but I was never diagnosed. I never truly understood my emotions and why I felt the way I did. For the longest time I wanted to die because I felt like I couldn’t escape my mind. Feeling trapped inside and like I could never get through it was the worst kind of feeling. I remember the times when I was experiencing bipolar moods I would say to myself in my head “God, I’d rather die than loose my mind.” Over and over again. I trusted no one but myself, Till one day, I got my first panic attack and I had no choice but to turn to God. I let him lead me through it and from then on, I stare praying more. Then as the years went on, I just got out of it and I feel more free than I have ever felt. I’m thankful.
Omg…this song literally made me break down into tears…it’s been a very long time since I heard this song…it was like 2015 when I was 4 yrs old I watched the movie and when I watched inside out 2 like a few weeks back (maybe jz 2 :> ) but then I found this song and I cried nonstop…it was like a mountain of emotion flooding back to me…even the part about Bingbong fading away…I cried harder…I miss u bingbong… (Spoiler) I watched inside out 2 and I am like Riley…a teenager…13 yrs old…and I can feel all that emotion and I can understand all the panic attacks and all the negligence from her friends about that secret they hide from her…I literally bawled my eyes out when joy said she was delusional, yes and she thought anxiety was right…I screamed and cried until I literally wet the seat in front of me…brings me back to when I was a kid heh…I miss my friends…see ya soon Riley in inside out 3 (maybe) :>
