Good tut, but you forgot to talk about "Deformation Scale", in your video the part will not deform like that only if you apply 2000N x 2693 times, so 2000N only will do nothing to the part.
This scale used to help designer understanding the deformation motion and weak geometries.

Dude, The Yield strength of the part is 10^8!!!!!
Neither of the simulations came anywhere near that, ding-dong!!SMH

maybe it is because this is a SOLIDWORKS tutorial... try searching for ENGINEERING tutorial next time... or maybe some internet search tips/tutorial video... that will avoid future mistakes

Great video, thank you! Spotted a possible small mistake, material yield strenght 6.204e+8, stress plot shows magnitude up to e+7, so the part is safe from deformation?
I'm trying to find a way to plot the scale up to the yield strength, but haven't found a way yet. If we could, it would indicate the the yield colour is not on the part.

The stress wasnt anywhere near the yield strength, Solidworks will put a line on the chart of where the yield strength is if it gets to that level

I do not get all the rave comments. The sound has a rumble, like he is on a runway at DFW with planes rumbling in the background. Then he talks so fast and has an accent that I can't understand a word of what he is saying. The biggest problem that I have is that CAD CAM TUTORIAL has videos all over you tube. More often than not, the first selection that is presented on my inquiries is theirs. I have given up trying to get something out of them and usually go to the next selection. I thought that I should give them another try on this one, but it just doesn't work. The newest comment, however, is 7 months old, another is 10 months old, and the rest seem to be years old. That is strange given the number of videos they have available. I just can't do any more.
