Good video, subject matter is well explained. A good tip for most metric mechanical engineers - set the force units to N/mm2 (MPa) as yield and tensile strengths of most materials are expressed in MPa. Pascals are too small for most problems…
Thank you very much for this. Really needed this....love the simplicity of teaching method of you Aryan. Lots of love and respect from India. Your method of teaching "logic" before starting technical details really made easy further process!
Hi, Aryan. Appreciate your nice work through this video. 1) Can you make one on the proper way in which simulation results be saved on PDM or local folders? Plus 2) how to share the results with the client or team in a document form eg. PDF.
I'd like to know how to simulate assemblies .also i wanna to know about flow simulation and its settings. Please make another video about these topics.thanks alot
Yo this is super interesting as I'm trying to simulate how bi-stable compliant mechanisms behave without having to print them every time. Thanks for the intro! I'm currently stuck with the model interfering with itself. Do you have a clue to give it a collision or hit box or something?
very good video. I'd like to know more about the results, how to interpret them very accurately and the mesh options. Very cool video, cheers from brazil>
Hi Aryan, im truly thankfully for show us your passion, i am working on simulation of a rail-wheel and i have problems with the local conections i think, cause the simulation dont througth results, can you help us with de mechanics of conections and fixtures?
no! it wouldn't show breakage or cracks. That's something you calculate with your formula based on the material, then get the value that SOLIDWORKS gives you, if the value is above your breaking point, you know,
Good day, This will depend first, if you want to go for simulation that takes both into account, called Non linear analysis, it comes with certain versions of the simulation package within SOLIDWORKS
Display states in SolidWorks Simulation are used to control the visibility and appearance of components in your simulation studies. They help manage and present simulation results more effectively, allowing you to focus on specific aspects of the analysis without altering the actual model or its properties. Here's a bit more detail on what they are and how you can use them: Visual Configuration: Display states are essentially different visual configurations that allow you to show or hide parts and assemblies, change the color of components, and apply different appearances or textures. They are part of the model's properties but do not affect the model's physical geometry or features. Multiple Views: You can create multiple display states within the same model document, each with its own unique set of visibility settings and appearances. This is especially useful in simulation to highlight different aspects of the model or to focus attention on specific results.
Hi Aryan, could you share how do you move and rotate the model in a neat way in the video? can you do it only with a special mouse for 3d modeling? (I mean 1:11-1:15 in the video for example)
Yes Yuval, I posted this a while ago on the forum. But here on my channel you can also find it in the 3D connextion space mouse. I also posted a unique deal only on the forum, which by now has expired
I wouldn't recommend laptop for solidworks generally. But as long as its CPU doesn't slow your work sth like i7 above, you should be fine. Even i5 does the job most times
Hello, how do I know that the result of the analysis is dangerous.... its color becomes red, but how do I know how dangerous it is and whether it will be destroyed or not??? thanks for answering
Hey Aryan, I have a structural member with a plate attached on each side. I had to do this because it won't register the face of a structural member. When I click Mesh and Run, the structural member is excluded from the simulation and will not appear. Got any ideas?
yes of course. there are many cross-formats among these two and on top of that, many common formats that all CAD can read like STEP. No problem whatsoever
This is not what i came for. The title was misleading. I thought I will learn some physicis and maths of FEA. It was just a basic static structural simulation in solidworks without any details of what actually goes on.
@with-Aryan There should be explanation of what's going behind those fancy buttons. There should be an explanation of the governing equations and the physics involved. There should be an explanation of what FEM is fundamentally and its maths and how FEM approximates the results. I have been following your videos for a long time. The solidworks tutorials are very good. Thank you for them.

This is by far the most superior FEA tutorial on the net.
please proceed with further explanation and teaching on FEA because this video really helps a lot..
thank you so much..
Nice tutorial with Great explanation. Thank you for sharing.
Please continue the video with more advance tutorial about FEA simulation.
Please continue with this series !!!
I really love this. Please continue
Watching your videos makes solidworks easier. I need to sign up for your class!
Please do! I'm glad to hear that you've found my videos helpful in learning SOLIDWORKS! Thank you for your interest in signing up for my class.
Been waiting for this for a really really long time. Thanks Aryan!

Waiting for more videos on the simulation. Thanks sir👍
Really engaging, teach us more about SW simulation. Keep up the good work Aryan

don't have PDM! I might have to get it first. but thanks for the thought!
I'd like to know how to simulate assemblies .also i wanna to know about flow simulation and its settings.
Please make another video about these topics.thanks alot
this is so interesting.....learnt alot fom this video..thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
It was a great video for a beginner like me. Thank you for this....🙌
Glad you liked it
Great.... Can you please make a video on an online leak seal repair clamp.
Great video. I would like to see more videos on this topic. Thanks!
I'll try
Sir i am waiting for this full playlist pls continue all tips and tricks
Sure, a little held up with other project videos, a lot of demand on 3D printer stuff at the moment, Thank you for your support.
Thanks! Can you do mold flow
Very nice video as always.
Thank you for your help, It´was very clear to understand, I´m taking my first analysis and your video it was interesting
Glad it was helpful!
Would you consider teaching ansys or abaqus

you are very welcome!
Now I'm interested!
Thank you so much I feel leaning something new good luck
Thank you for your support.
Amazing Video.. Please make more such videos on SOLIDWORKS Simulation and Motion
Thanks!
AAAA there is sooooo much to learn, I have sooo little experienceeeee.
The last simulation I did was on a Microsoft Surface 7, and while it did produce results, it took forever.
long time ago?
I love your video. Just subscribed to your channel
You simulate even better than Ronaldo!😅
can you make a video on simulation on a shaft?
very good video. I'd like to know more about the results, how to interpret them very accurately and the mesh options. Very cool video, cheers from brazil>
great work need more videos about that topic
thanks, I might do that
A brilliant description, thank you
you are welcome

very busy at the moment. But maybe
Kindly make a thermal simulation on electronic circuits.
haven't done that
Thank you!
you're welcome
greattttt دمت گرم
thanks
Thanks u 👍🏻
I'm from Indonesia i want to study Solidworks
you are in the right place
Please can you show us how set up contact definition in SOLIDWORKS
you mean boundary conditions?
عالی . ممنون
what happens when you put a large enough load for the material to fracture? Will solidworks show that, or animate it?
no! it wouldn't show breakage or cracks. That's something you calculate with your formula based on the material, then get the value that SOLIDWORKS gives you, if the value is above your breaking point, you know,
@@with-Aryan noted, Aryan. Thank you 🤝🏾
where does it show in the model if you are in the elastic range or plastic range of the material?

@@with-Aryan Ok Thanks!
Thankk yaaa
you are welcommmme
is there a second part to this video?
not really
Isn't the warning was due to higher load ....or the amount of load that cause the component to fail?
I wouldn't recommend laptop for solidworks generally. But as long as its CPU doesn't slow your work sth like i7 above, you should be fine. Even i5 does the job most times
Hello, how do I know that the result of the analysis is dangerous.... its color becomes red, but how do I know how dangerous it is and whether it will be destroyed or not??? thanks for answering
FOS (Factor of Safety) is a quick and dirty way to know this any value less than 1 means the model is too weak for the loads you have specified.

how did you create that? Did you use Weldments module?
Does anyone know if I can model in another software, like NX, and import to Solid Works just to do the FEA simulation?
yes of course. there are many cross-formats among these two and on top of that, many common formats that all CAD can read like STEP. No problem whatsoever
