familliars targeting range can be extended with the resonance trait, which is why it struggles with far away/flying bosses/enemies, since it can only track so far to targets
@@SheenShots probably something to do with the "eye" not actually being an enemy or not having a target point or something in the code, since the bird kinda has to "latch" onto enemies whereas typical summons dont? im not sure because i swear nebula mod works, or maybe it doesnt? or maybe the bird is coded differently to all the other summons like it for whatever reason
Awesome build, far better than my original zookeeper build (Engineer/Summoner). However, I found that I can't increase mod damage greater than +147% after summoning a flyer (? the cap?), so I swapped out Soul Shard for Soul Link. Didn't decrease mod damage at all, and gives a lot better survivability.
There's something almost insulting about using Knight Guards on Red Prince. "Yeah, this was meant to be a gift from your mother to protect you after her death. But now I'm gonna use them to kill you"
No one knows exactly what the curse status does to enemies but you can clearly see that it's extremely strong. 3:37 The first two sword hits don't even move the health bar but then every hit after the enemy is cursed takes off chunks of the health bar even though it's doing the same 123 damage the entire time Btw the swords only need to do 100 damage to apply the curse so you could actually afford to switch the build up quite a lot
As a summoner main I've been experimenting a lot before going into Apoc and have a different variation of this build (skill dmage based) but same archeotypes
Yes, originally just wanted to see how high I get my skill damage without using (handler or engineer) as the primary or secondary to summoner. I whish they take a look at the prime perk on summoner and add something else to it maybe 75% minion dmge increase (across all minions? Turret, dog and summons)
After reading kizmo2317's comment I just got a thought, what if, since you can remove soul shard without losing any mod damage you were to swap it for tightly wound coil, this would benefit from the build using low magazine, high damage dealing weapons like coach gun, widowmaker, etc, granting shield for just shooting your gun normally, but you can then swap out golden ribbon for kinetic shield exchanger giving you the same mod damage but now you get additional mod generation allowing you to cast them sooner.
I have been trying out familiar/nano swarm. I would say nano swarm is better than familiar with better and faster tracking, dmg might seem lower but they proc faster and can crit
I'm trying to figure something out with Summoner as my prime and using Atonement Fold plus at least one point in Blood Bond too keep the Reaver in perma-rage. It works, and you can negate the damage to him, but I haven't messed around with it enough to see what's viable. So far I have Medic with Healing Shield to keep the pet topped off, which is good. He's super tanky and aggressive, but holds next to no aggro which ruins almost everything about it.
Seems we've proven that Curse works on enemies the same way it does on you, seeing how your damage doesn't change a lot, but it starts taking out chunks once Curse is applied.
@@celuiquipeut6527 bro you absolutely correct I don't use kingship trait so I expect the other to have it because he doing the mod stuff killing me lol I get angry
Bro you should do a Fargazer build with Timekeeper ring, 500-600 true damage per sec is wild. I melted boss so fast that I thought I was playing on normal mode.
So Knight Guard is the key here right? Doing good damage and then applying curse Will the build still be as good if we replace it with something else like Root Lash or Space Crabs or Nano Swarm?
The curse basically reduces the bosses health bar by a lot. If you try watch closely you can see that it always hits for 123 damage in the first fight but after curse is applied it takes off big chunks of the bar, but the two hits at the beginning didn't seem to even move the bar at all You just have to make sure that the swords do at least 100 damage, otherwise they don't apply the curse
You can make this build an insult to the red prince's and the one true king's legacy if you use firestorm or the monarch instead of the crows, and use Wrathbringer or Assassin's dagger as melee. The sword summons are the guards of the princes dead mother and the wife of the king Or you could use some of Nimue's gear because she betrayed the king, she used to serve him and she was even the one who married the king to his wife in a secret ceremony. The crescent moon probably hits super hard when the enemies are cursed with low HP

Good tip. I had almost no issues with it, but for Legion the bird refused to attack him at all.

You just built the summoner build I wanted, but couldn't figure out. Thank you.
I love to see that this worked out :) really brings back Remnant 1 vibes a lot. Great Video
Was way more fun and for that mater more powerful than I expected.
if anyone needs more tankiness, i found replacing shard banded ring with soul guard
is a very good option, since knight guard mod counts as 2 summons.
Honestly a good ring for most summon builds. I used that before and it works like a charm.
Best build name ever- period🔥
You know it lol

The archetype combo actually lets you do a lot with either mods or skills to fit different situations well.

I helped people yesterday with a full summonor build defeating bosses until the last boss my summons couldnt handle the heat lol
Its waves. Summons do pretty good, but when it comes to wave based attacks they just melt lol.
I have been trying out familiar/nano swarm. I would say nano swarm is better than familiar with better and faster tracking, dmg might seem lower but they proc faster and can crit
Yes and not. The point is to have a lot of familiar to stack. But yeah, i ised nano a lot too. But for this build nano is not the solution
Nano Swarm is crazy good. Definitely one of the better mods to run if your already built into high crit for other forms of damage.
I used that bird mod sometime and found out that it can attack multiple targets simultaneously.
Ya I am not sure if this is intended, but it makes the bird extremely good in several fights.
Does the root lash count as a summon? I don't have the expansion yet lol. And thank you Mr Sheen for all your builds.
Yes it does actually. I believe it counts one per lash so two in total.

This the type of build you keep for yourself and just pop in random coop matches and dominate 😂😂😂
Lol I did this yesterday

Hello, pretty good build, love it
I've been trying to get the knight guard for awhile now lol jus takes a few rerolls
It was easier when the DLC just came out and it was a guaranteed dungeon. Now not so easy to find.
So Knight Guard is the key here right?
Doing good damage and then applying curse
Will the build still be as good if we replace it with something else like Root Lash or Space Crabs or Nano Swarm?
The curse is the icing on the cake that greatly helps in boss fights. However the same setup would work would other mods as well.
The curse basically reduces the bosses health bar by a lot. If you try watch closely you can see that it always hits for 123 damage in the first fight but after curse is applied it takes off big chunks of the bar, but the two hits at the beginning didn't seem to even move the bar at all

110 Trait points?
Literally made a familiar build before this video lel
Posted 9 months ago? Something tells me this has been nerfed to the ground
I mean it works, because the swords were buffed, but the curse effect was taken away. So yes technically this too was nerfed.
