    I've read, and I've watched many explanations of the tenkai palm and just couldn't get it - it could be because I'm coming to this video with so much background information... but the technique really clicked for me. Thank you so much! Now to work on the card not flying out of my hand when I produce it!

    I've always had trouble getting into and out of the Ten Kai palm smoothly, this really helped, thanks!

    The Mint cards are unreal..Unbelievable finish to them and everything...I usually have some sort of complaint on any deck I own, and this is the first deck that I believe is close to perfection. Great job Asad!!

    During the vanish, I would shape my other hand as if I am palming another card. It makes it seem consistent and negates any suspicion.

    Can you make a vid about distracting the audience (group or 1 person doesn't matter)?

    • @joey-kamii6286
      @joey-kamii6286 8 лет назад +3

      Depends on the type of distraction you need. Like if you just need them to look away from your hands for a moment, and maybe make eye contact with you so you can do something sneaky with your hands, I've found that simply talking to them and saying their name works a majority of the time.

    • @MathTroiano
      @MathTroiano 8 лет назад +1

      There is a move called bullshitting
      look... if really need a distraction... stop moving your hands, make as much as eye contact you can, and everything with a cheesy story....
      Everyone thinks that the magic goes on when your speaking, so they will stay focused at your hands... but after 3 seconds, they will start to pay attention to your story...
      then, you just got to make smooth moves or very fast moves... So their eyes can't keep up
      So you gotta train a lot to prepare your magic as fast as possible
      You can only do this once, and only on a desesperated time.. otherwise, people will start to notice this cheesy move
      Or u can do only eye contact... but it's 1000x better with a story
      Example: Torn and restore trick... once in the transition of the torned card i forgot what to do. and i needed time... i bullshitted alot, then when i remembered, i really smoothly made all the moves, and ta-da I was back on game

    • @valmarsiglia
      @valmarsiglia 7 лет назад +5

      I forget who it was, some American magician who did a routine where he was explaining misdirection, saying he was going to change the color of the handkerchief in his hand. At that point, a topless woman walked on stage, and he simply switched the handkerchiefs out in the open, and nobody caught it!

    Those for small hand wanna pulling card back twist it and you can grip it with your thumb easier and it looks the exact same

    • @El3ctr0Lun4
      @El3ctr0Lun4 7 лет назад

      Or, if you have small hands then you can use bridge sized cards. They're not as wide as poker cards, so you'll be able to grip them pretty well. Besides, that's the standard card size in Europe.

      I had this too. But don't bring the card in perpendicular to palm. Twist it slightly so it's angled slightly into your palm and down. It helped me tuck the corner of the card into my "thumb nook" and let me reach the opposite side with my thumb.

      No palm makes it so that you can be perfectly comfortable and position your hand normally and hide a card in doing so. There's always something that looks a little off but if you watch the performance, it's the little things he does that make the palm believable for that essential second or two in a performance.
