Ain't it strange, Remember when this music (DISCO) first played all over the country and certain people said it was garbage...take a look back the day that DOnna Summer passed away and all that Proclaimed their love for the very music that most of them back in 1976-1979 said it was garbage? Yes, DISCO had it imapct and we should be proud to have be born in a time when DANCING was the ultimate thing to do when you needed to just let go. Long live DANCE MUSIC. Thanks to all the artists who gave us these great songs.
The arrangement on this is soo hot! May Disco live forever!! ❤❤
Disco music never dies.
super theme of the 70s, classic, they will never go out of style.
I loved the disco era, because it was a time when people really had a good time partying to great music
it brought every body together and have a good time
@@RichArd-hi4yvABSOLUTELY, I agree with you 100%. I don’t think people really have a good time like we did back then
One of my all-time favorite songs, I came out to this in 1975 !!!🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺
Number 1 reason I don't hate gays, they popularized the greatest music evah.
Yeah, the best disco and house was being played in the gay clubs and back then the only way to hear the music. They gays pushed the boundaries for music and fashion back then and not as much now .
@@GTSN38 I would copy their moves! The moves so creative and beautiful to watch!! 🙌🏽👍🏽❤️
they do not produce music like this anymore. grateful I got to live and dance my ass off to this era.
metsjetsny who knows maybe you danced with me back than
I agree..partied off it too!
you bet it was a fabulous time! Great great dancing music!
I totally agree my knees are jacked up now from all of the clubbing I did 🤣😂🤣😂🤣💕💕
Get some collagen powder
You could feel the effect on your body when you heard that beat in and out. Great music from the amazing 70's. ✌🤙👌.
Yup and the speakers would be pumping in overdrive.
Still Rocking it ... 11Apr2019 ... Not from my era ... But my older Siblings hooked me up 🔥🔥👏👏👏
One of the best songs for a great Hustle and Freestyle!! Can’t help but stomp, Jump and Spin on the dance floor!🥰
Sounds just As if it was done today , But they could never make a Sound Like This , Its as if I'm hearing it for the first time , It was my Favorite record to play in my Basement when we all were Hanging out 👍😊
😊à
Don’t forget to sprinkle the baby power.
This a rare classic That we love brings us back to the days when music had greatness.
A milestone in the salsa-disco , a great tune with the silky voice of Barbara Roy ...
Amazing. All the elegant soul power of New York sound of the 70s. Masterwork.
This music really influenced the creation of house music in chicago. I hate my city, but love the music and memories
got tears in my eyes.... I used to dance my ass to this at MUZIK BOX LOWER WACKER DR RON HARDY✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊ALRIGHT RONNIE!!!

Paradise Garage !!!!!.....King St NYC
Ecstasy, Passion & Pain was always one of my favorite R & B/Disco groups! My all time favorites by them were "Ask Me", "Good Things Don't Last Forever"!
Wow, go round n round the dance floor, lights flashing, people dancing, music poundin in your chest, heart, your love seeing only you, kissed and the world was ours. What era, wow. Thaxs God, i musta done something good.
raul ramirez i wanna dance with you
The time of our lives! Sacred to me.

I'm TRYING to cook supper for my family, ok, but CAN'T!! WHY!? Bc I can NOT stop dancing!! Love it!! 👏👏👏
Thank you for sharing this classic!! 🙂
P.S. Very sad song, though. 😢
😂😂😂
60 years old still love to dance to this music this a paradise garage classic
I wish this new world could experience this era.
I'm 62 years old and still love this jam never get old
I'm 50 and I agree. This song is da shit. Don't know why I always forget the name, probably because I've listened to so many great songs.
I’m 60 and from Sam Francisco and love this track. I wish the house djs played this out here, but I didn’t know about until I visited NYC in 87. Before NYC got the big clean up.
Justin time for this great song to get up boogie when ever you hear it ! WONDERFUL memories being a kid miss those years ago lost and found. Long live disco!🎸🥁🎶🎼🎵🎹❗👍
In New York City the gay clubs were raising the roof to this kind of music.. The fun and carefree life we had. Clubbing almost every night. 12 West, The Garage, The Barefoot Boy,, The Cockring, The Anvil, The Crisco Disco. For many of us these were the best years of our lives. To me these memories are sacred.
"from the day you kissed my I fell for you like a ton of bricks" what a line

Paradise Garage NYC! REMEMBER? I haven to Paradise!
Trying to explain to my Mom that it was actually a parking garage during the day was hilarious. She couldn't understand how folks were hanging out until dawn in a garage. LOLOL! It was Paradise indeed.
Truthisthelighthotep walker you rock
This remix is soooo good and brings out the best of this 1976 early disco record. It's hard to believe that a remix from a decade later could respect the period and sound yet bring out the best in it.
This is not a Disco song but was played in Disco clubs after they heard it Black clubs and we call it "Underground" music because it was not being played on the Radio and at Disco clubs in our areas.
it reminds me of another 70s track that was huge in the clubs in NYC in the 80s Black Betty!
This is not early Disco, this is an R&B record that they played in Black/Latin straight and gay clubs. The genre "Underground" (Godfather to House Music) was created because Radio refused to play "certain" songs but thanks to Soul Train and others, the song went into mainstream. The DJs at the Discotheque began playing it and other songs. Folks claim the Disco music is four-on-the-floor" beats but it is really is the beginning of R&B dance music but "they" later labeled as "Disco".
@@niyofu Very interesting comment...I was born in '67...so was 9 in '76...and just thought of songs like this as 'disco' music (always loved it, and this song in particular) Is there a history I should read or see about the true history of the music...or can you tell me a little more about it? Thanks.
The original was a 45 long version
Before the companies discovered 12 inch records
absolutely beautiful tune
You just touch meeee!!!!! WHAT!!!!!...LOVE THIS SONG💜😄💜💜
superrrrrrrr!!!! Playground for '76 disco lovers
These youngsters never will understand this era and what it meant to us. This music is better than and drug these kids abuse #HouseMusicNever Dies
that's right I agree you said it all rest my case ! !
I would like to disagree with you.
We, are in a difficult era and we have this opportunity to discover new music in our own ways, our own scene and not demean the future of our subcultures.
I'd also like to point out that this song is sampled in an album, release by a popular house music duo of our time, Dusky. Released in 2016, we're allowed to discover and understand in our own course.
My mom raised me on all the classic house music because she used to be big in the roller rinks. She would tell me all the stories about the organ player in the middle of the rink and just good times back then. Some of us definitely appreciate this music and will keep it alive!!
AcidAttack Discover what?
Amen and Ase!
Hell, yeah. Paradise Garage, Central Park roller rink, Roxy .....
Nobody E.Q.ed this track better than Ron Hardy, nobody in the world can E.Q. Disco or House Music better than Chicago,I promise you that.
I literally felt chills during the intro 😮 ❤💯🙌🏾🧬
Its 2024 and I'm still jamming to this song 🎤🥁🎸🎹 👍✌️

ARENT YOU GLAD YOU DIDNT MISS THIS BUS!
I love that this song is still being embraced since it came out in 1976 and was first played in clubs like The Clubhouse in Washington, DC, Paradise Garage in NY and so on and was considered as Underground music (genre).

This makes me sad I came out at the warehouse in 1982 me my 1st boyfriend (rip tony) I was 18 and lost, going to bookstores and creepy movie theaters and a guy said you don't belong here and told me about the warehouse on Jefferson and it opened@ midnight. I got there 10 minutes early and the line was long. The music was cathartic and transformative, I wasn't alone there was a place full of people a lot like me, young black gaya kids not in anyone's closet just damn audacious and I exhaled.
Happy story, no unfortunately for then the plague came and crippled 3 generations I guess God needed to teach the Angels how to really dance with complete abandon and tread on the gates of hell with glee and assured victory. Thanks and praise but I miss my friends and I miss them old queens who knew the answers to my questions of life lived abundantly.
Peace,
Ace
Cary Gray dope :)
You said it all.
God, I wish the gay community today was like it was back then.
I'm 30 and live in the UK. the gay scene is dreadful...
Awful, cheap music and people to match.
I dream of opening my own LGBT club with the same vibe as the Garage or the Loft.
DO IT!! Carry on!!!
Cary Gray. Powerful and Poetic ! ! ! Those days are now gone, and we all most move on. Unfortunately, this generation is very different, and I really dislike it , but we have our memories. . . Maybe he bless you.
pretty damn good groove, one of the best of all time, disco4ever baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't mean to be funny but were any of these guys born or old enough to play in the clubs when this song came out...joke. Love these guys because they honored the Classics but more importantly gave us OGs our respect. & they did so through their music. A rare bunch of guys, love my Midwest maestros.
Remember this being placed in a deep house mix on WBMX in Chi. Man those were the days.
Is for ever energy 😁
Yes
I agree 😊😊
Your right and WGCI played them also but I always thought WBMX played the better 🏠 music and if you remember WBMX stay on later up until about 1:30AM..close to 2AM.✅

One of my favorites growing up in Newark so many good memories
"You claim to be my man
But you see me when you can
Now you want to know
If I'm gonna let you go
It's hard for you to see
What you could have meant to me
But a man that's on the run
Is a dirty son of a gun
You fooled me with your lies
Those floating alibis
It's hard to let you go
When all the time I know
You just wanna touch me
Just touch me and go
Touch and go
When you touch me
I just can't stay no
When the only time
You ever come around
Is every time some girl
Has put you down
Hey, from the day
You kissed my lips
I fell for you
Like a ton of bricks
I never knew
You were full of tricks
You got me running (running)
Running after you
Oh, oh, touch and go
You just take my love
And then you go
And the only time
You ever come around
Is every time some girl
Has put you down
Baby, oh
Loving you was my mistake
But losing you
I know I just can't take
Just one day
I might say it's too late
Then you'll be running
(Running) running after me
Oh, ohh, touch and go
You just take my love
And then you go, babe
And the only time
You ever come around
Is every time some girl
Has put you down
Ooh, baby, oh, oh
You got me running (running)
Running after you
Oh, oh touch and go
You just take my love
And then you go away
And the only time
You ever come around
Is every time some girl
Has made up her mind
To put you down, ooh, baby
Touch and go (touch and go)
When you touch me
I just can't stay no
(Then you go away)
When the only time
You ever come around
Is every time some girl
Has put you down, ooh, baby
You wanna touch me
You wanna touch me
You wanna touch me...
(Oh, oh) touch and go
(Touch and go)
When you touch me
I just can't stay no (no, baby)
When the only time
You ever come around
Is every time some girl
Has put you down, oh, oh
Touch and go (touch and go)
When you touch me
I just can't stay no
(Ooh, baby, ooh, baby)
When the only time
You ever come around
Is every time some girl
Has put you, put you down
Touch and go (touch and go)
When you touch me
I just can't stay no
(No, no, no, baby)
When the only time
You ever come around
Is every time some girl
Has put you down... " :)
