    The most beautiful Kabudachi bonsai I’ve ever seen has been evergreen trees 🌲

    Very good video. You speak very well, and your information is concise and very knowledgeable. It's on topic without a lot of fluff. I have started watching all of your Bonsai videos so that I can learn more about how to make trees from cuttings and seeds. You always seem to mention after-care steps to consider for your plants which I find very helpful. I followed one of your tutorials about Japanese Maples but I left my plants outside in my garden where they became snail/slug food. UGH! I take better care now.

      Hey thanks very much! Aftercare is a very important step so I like to share what I do with trees after working on them. Sorry to hear about your maples, I hope they weren't attacked too much and recover well for you!

    Going to look beautiful! But one question, why don't you put it on a plate to force the roots to grow horizontally? I know you said you don't want to wire the tree down but you could use some raffia to hold it on the plate aswell and get the pancake nebari faster😄

    I wonder if it could be as good to use a "regular" plant pot the very first stage? I am also thinking from the perspective of beginners that could benefit of not having to buy a bonsai pot straight away or don't have the drill to make DIY. I imagine it would not be detrimental in the most early development? Thanks for an informative video as usual.

    • @notionbonsai
      @notionbonsai  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hey! I hope you have success in yours! Because I use soil with so much drainage, I water all my trees every day. You never want the soil to fully dry out, or be sitting in water / flooded where the water will stagnate and rot the roots. It is a balance 🙂 I hope this helps!

      Here is the video on how to grow the maples from seed: ruclips.net/video/jD2Ekp-0mew/видео.html

    The mesh tape is a really good concept if it indeed works?

    • @notionbonsai
      @notionbonsai  8 месяцев назад

      It sure does! As long as the pot is dry when sticking it, it stays on no problem! Though you might need to go hunting for it in the soil when you repot a year later!

    I see a video where a cable tie was used to hold the young plants together, then after a year there was new roots above the tie which made for a lovely nebari. Btw that RUclips channel was called Eisei-en Bonsai his videos are nearly as good as yours
