To: Jared and Doug ,and everyone else, please don't grow weary with this new mission you are on, I know you all behind the scenes miss your families and life at home so much but what you guys are doing for other families is just amazing and it's such a wonderful thing you all are doing out there, to everyone who is making this happen for the families, you all are such a blessing and the fact you turned cleaning the environment to bringing answers to these people who for years cried and mourned and the torment their souls were going through before you started doing this, it's answers to many prayers you guys are answering, and God Almighty led you guys to be the ones who could give them their answers and their closure so they could finally heal and I love seeing how you are truly filled with love and understanding and how you let the holy spirit lead you all to be the answers for these families even tho you miss your own families..You guys are wonderful and amazing and I am glad I could be here to witness one of the most phenomenal groups of men ever ❤!!!
@@JoshCantu and you put there stories and purpose into the best video ever!! Thank you for the love you put into these documentary videos and everything you do, with your touch and expertise on putting it together without you I don't think there purpose would have grabbed and gotten the attention it has..you are the one who made this purpose shine and grab the attention it needed..thank you..❤
Doug, I'm so pleased to see how you went from the tow guy and then diving, and are now out in front. It was a good decision Jared made. Jacob and Lindsey are great too and I'm glad to see them diving for the cause. Keep it up!
I hope you get to feeling better, Jared. You've left the wheel in excellent hands. Doug is really good describing what's going on and what the plan of attack is. Also, Josh and Carson are top-notch videographers. They do an outstanding job gathering us into the investigation, too.
I really love seeing Doug step into the lead as flawlessly he as he has. Amazing job on all that growth. Hope you feel better Jared! Thanks to all of you for all that you do!
I met Bobby a few times as he was a neighbor of mine, right down the road. The license plate was indeed found on the banks, right by the Mexican restaurant. I do have some theories that I probably shouldn't put on here, out of respect for his sister. Bobby was a very good friend to my Aunt & Uncle who also lived right down the street. If there is a way to speak privately with you, I will tell you what I know. Thank You for everything you do!
Definitely reach out to Doug and Jarod through the Supoort email in the description. You can ask them to call you if that's better but the Support email is the best way to get ahold of them Thank you for any help you can offer your awesome.
@@CANADIAN_FIRE Two scenarios: 1) Faked his demise or 2) Foul play If he faked his demise he probably would have taken his accordion with him? * Beginning of summer which means limited darkness * Maximum darkness, fewest people on the road between 3:00am - 3:30am * License plate at restaurant river bank was planted * License plate probably swapped with a different plate * Drove to Mexico to a pre-planned destination * Vehicle parted out or repainted?
We appreciate you taking the time to search for Bobby. We've even had his fans searching for him in Europe and following up on the rumors. . I spoke to him two days before and he was depressed and worn out from working so many hours at KULP radio and making all the dances. What a waste if he died, Lets just hope he is on the run...
I wish Jared all the best, we miss you. Take care of yourself. I don't know how you guys do what you do. Your all amazing people. I wish you all the best and safe travels.
That was some of the fastest flowing water I’ve seen! Glad y’all are always making safety a number one concern with these searches. Well done on this video
Could very well been buried. We had hurricane Harvey flood houses on the Colorado River up stream. Also have had some high waters over the years after he went missing.
@🌬 How We Suffer for Our Sanity I was there and saw it all with my own eyes. I love this channel but they bypassed literally everyone that investigated and was a part of this case, didn't even speak to the investigators who are still in the community so now there are all of these wild assumptions going on. His car definitely went in there's just no telling where it ended up due to the tremendous rise of the river at that time.
@🌬 How We Suffer for Our Sanity what's funny is I was going to contact them about a possible search due to the success they have had at finding others and I totally forgot due to work and other circumstances going on then I look and they had just been here lol
I really appreciate all you do. It must be disappointing when you don't find them, but it's the heart that you give to each and every case is the hope you give. Thank you Chaos Divers for all you do!
Jacob and Lindsey are fantastic. They've done quite a few cases as well. If you aren't subscribed, please check them out. You will fall in love with Lindsey. They've brought home a lot of people.
My name is Matthew Srader, my musical stage name is Matt Ranger. I knew Bobby Jones fairly well, he played at my Grandmother's 80th birthday celebration, at my Great Aunt's 70th birthday celebration. Bobby was an awesome guy, everyone loved him big-time. He played a song from a demo of mine when he worked at a radio station out of Bay City, Texas, about 30 miles from El Campo and/or Wharton, Texas, which was the first time I ever heard my music over the radio, I freaked to hear my name and song announced that time. If I went to a gig he was playing, he would often turn his Polka band over to me for a few songs to play some Country tunes. I was living in Wharton at the time of his disappearance, and was in total shock to hear he had disappeared. It would seem to me he would not disappear intentionally, because he was so beloved and popular locally, he was a mega star to the people in that area, locally. I went to the Mexican restaurant where his license plate was supposedly found. The river at that time was way up, as it had been raining nonstop for weeks and weeks. You could see skid marks in the parking lot and marks where his car had supposedly jumped the curb before heading into the river, the license plate was supposedly found about 30 feet from the parking lot curb, a very short distance from the river. You could see skid marks leading up to the river's edge. I watched your video and yalls description of the waters flood stage was way understated. At one point it had been close to reaching the restaurant. It was a scary sight to see how rapidly the river was flowing, so judging from that, if his car went into the river at that point, right by the restaurant, his car would have went way, way, down stream from there. Yall did not all go far enough, believe me. His car would have went miles, perhaps 3 or 4 miles downstream, if not further. Never in all my life had I seen the Colorado River that flooded and flowing at such incredible speeds. It stayed like that for about a month or even longer. I could never have imagine he would commit suicide because he was so beloved, but sometimes I guess you never know about things like that, or the inner workings of one's demons. I heard a rumor at the time that he had been in an affair with a relative or a family member of someone who worked at that restaurant, not to place much stock in that though cause it was just a rumor. I had seen him about 3 days before he went missing, driving by pulling his band trailer, waved at him and he waved back with that gracious smile he had. I also heard there was an FBI investigation done about his disappearance, did you run down thar lead. You have to take in mind that Wharton and El Campo are small towns and rumors are just that in small towns, rumors. I do know you could definitely see the skid marks as when his car scraped the curb as it jumped it, and see where there were skid marks leading to the river's edge. There was no cliff there, as the water was that high!!! I was disappointed while watching your video when I heard you only went downstream from the restaurant a mile and a half, because in my guesstimation his car would have traveled alot, lot further, if you could have seen how high the river was, and how fast the current was. I hope you find him, please try again bit go downstream alot further. Thanks, Mranger 600 N. Jefferson Apt. D Hutchinson, Kansas 67501 Ph num: 316-300-0193 mattranger500@gmail.com
Doug and Jacob you 2 are amazing...Thank you for all you do. Doug your right alot of shady things go do here. I live in East Texas..God bless always... Hope Jared is well soon...
First and foremost feel better Jarred. Hope you guys can find Bobby Jones and give the family the answer they need. If anyone can do this it will be you guys. You guys are all the best of the best. God bless each of you. Be safe as you can because all of you are loved by your fans and your families.
I was the Wharton County Emergency Management Coordinator in June and July of 2007 when Bobby Jones went missing. Upstream on the Colorado river in central Texas heavy rain and flash flooding (including an 18-20 inch rain near Marble Falls in a 6 hour period on June 26, 2007) resulted in very high water and fast flow rates in Wharton for an extended period of time during the search for Jones' vehicle. You can get river gauge heights in Wharton and flow rates from the Lower Colorado River Authority for the June and July period.
Why does the Charly Project online state the vehicle was located in the river but never removed due to treacherous conditions? Is this correct and definitive??
Every time I watch your videos, regardless of whether you find someone or not, it makes me hope you all are doing okay. Please pace yourselves. If the roadtrips are too long or you decide you need to do it differently, that is fine. Your mental and emotional health is so important. Please take care of yourselves.
License plate in the bushes? Wonderful how you guys take care of each other! I certainly hope The Texas Polka King didn’t fake his own death, but based on the clues Doug was able to find and talking through what he was like and the gambling, maybe he did? Or maybe he really is in the water. I always admire Doug’s reasoning and brainstorming about each possibility with others. It was noble of Adventures with Purpose and Chaos Divers to search for Bobby Jones. Thanks Lindsay for the additional research! Every search means something to someone. Heading out to work. Hoodie on. Couple of wristbands. Safety tool on my key ring. Good to go to bring more awareness to this cause each day so that you all can continue searching.
A license plate would have washed a lot farther downstream, in my opinion. A license plate is almost light enough to float if placed flat on a smooth body of water. That thing would have probably wound up miles downstream. The fact that it was found at all seems too deliberate. I have been in front-end collisions with a front plate. The bumper was destroyed but the plate was still attached and salvageable. And on every single vehicle they've found, barring ones that were deliberate dumps, the plates were still with the vehicle. Finding the plate without a large chunk of bumper attached to it is virtually impossible. This pretty much has to be deliberate.
@WardenWolf if the vehicle entered the water through a shrubby area, it's possibly it could have torn off in the process - or with violent water got snagged up in the bushes very nearby. But yeah, something's odd. You'd think with the tire tracks AND the plate combined with a missing person that area would have been searched then and there but we don't really know what did happen at the time.
only other option is the screws holding it on were rusty or loose at the time of water entry? I agree with Doug, need the found location to be accurately established for better search radius
@@AnitaSouthall This! If the water was rushing as violently as Lindsay said on that day, a car going in may have had the plate ripped off. Without knowing where the plate was actually found, it's difficult to pinpoint what could have caused it to be in that location, and where the car could be. Again, if the current was that strong, the car may have been swept away miles downstream.
MESSAGE FROM A VIEWER... 😳😬 - Posted with their permission ======================= I knew Bobby personally I would like to remain anonymous Here is what I know as fact. The week before Bobby Jones disappeared he was acting weird, very quiet, and more secluded than normal. He took his cats to the local vet and had them all put down, euthanized, the same vet that I use. I remember hearing the ladies at the desk talking about how Bobby Jones just had his cats euthanized and how sad they were about the situation cause he didn't try to find them homes. A few years later, my dad's lawyer went on a leisure trip to Czechoslovakia and there was a polka festival going on that he went to. While he was in the crowd he saw Bobby Jones there and he yelled out his name, when Bobby Jones turned around and saw him, my dad's lawyer said that Bobby turned as white as a ghost and disappeared into the crowd. His family knows that he is still alive but they do not know where he is. Bobby Jones owed millions of dollars to the Mexican mob for his gambling habit and he couldn't pay it off. The Mexican mob put a hit out on him and he found out about it and staged everything. He left everything behind and ran. He didn't tell his family anything because the Mexican mob are the type of people to go after the people closest to you and since they didn't know anything, there was no reason for them to get hurt. That is why they will not answer questions about him. ===== Tell us your thoughts! Is Bobby Jones still alive? Did he skip town because of gambling debt? Did you know Bobby?
Wow scary stuff. But if it were true I am sure the Mexican Mafia is smarter than this. They could and would figure this out. Hell they already have ruined most of America with their drugs. So I wouldn't put too much stock into this. Dad's attorney friend might have had too much beer that night. Hey guys. I might only be able to donate a month (I am on fixed income following an illness) but hoping the one time donation help someone else find peace. Also make sure you find time for your family kids grow up too fast and your health is important. In Europe they take at least a month to recuperate a year(everyone). Something we have not learned yet. Safe journeys.
Jared, this case just took some new twists and turns. To euthanize all your cats (very sad) and not having contact with anyone is extremely odd. This new possible evidence sheds some more light on what could have happened. I wouldn’t rule anything out. A license plate in the bushes is weird. I looked on the Charley Project and it said they found the car? I’m sure you guys did your due diligence. Sounds like he did skip town to protect his family. I think he’s likely alive. It was noble of you guys to treat this like any other case. I know both of you genuinely want to find him and everyone else! Please be careful in getting involved in these kind of cases and I’m glad you stepped out at the end there. I would too. When are you coming out with another shirt? Would love another zip up hoodie! What do you and Doug think?
IF he’s still alive the only way he could’ve got out of the country and into another without leaving a trail is with the help of the Feds. If that’s the case then I would walk away from this and use the limited resources that you have elsewhere.
☝ B.S... The "Mexican Mob". Please stop with this nonsense. A Radio station D.J. who plays polka music owes "millions". GTFO. He may have owed money. A bookie would have cut him off and demanded payment well before "millions owed". Bookies are running a business, typically they are nice people who pay when they owe and prefer to collect cash when you lose. A bookie will work with you to collect payment since collecting is their job. Knowing a person has an inability to pay a large amount if they lose a bookie is not going to put themselves on the hook in case the bettor actually wins. They would have collected his car, house. He would have been pawning his personal items. And if he was a victim of the mob they wouldn't worry about his plate being on the car if he was eventually found in the river... More than likely his debt was 100k or less, and he just walked away, found a new bookie and ended up in debt again. If he was in debt its because he wasn't aware that professional sports are "rigged" / "scripted", for the purpose of stealing the bettors money. Don't forget Las Vegas is in the business of betting against the general public. And Vegas is doing really well. AWP you guys are great, thanks for what you do.
First - I hope Jared is okay! I didn't quite catch if he is sick, this case got to him for some reason , or he just finally just got some family time & rest. 1) in the description - it said they ' DID locate the Car - but could not recover it OR check to see if his body was in it bcuz of the dangerous depth & Rivers current' -- So is it found & where found? It gave no info on location or link to this info. 2) This is a wild guess, of course, but I don't think, and highly doubt "the Mexican mob would let a Local Yocal get $Millions in Debt to them? Not that I've any Clue how a Mexican Mob runs their businesses! But sounds fishy to me! (saw a movie, the guy worked for Mafia, being a card shark, to win money for them, they fronted his bets, first he was Raking it in, then started loosing a bunch - the Mafia then found out, 'it was a set up & pretense ''to loose" to associates/friends, to make money for themselves vs Mafia. In the end, it wasn't pretty. (Body chained to barrel filled with concrete, dropped way out ocean - he wasn't dead when they threw it overboard either) Rule #1, don't ever mess with the Mafia. 3) And I agree with above commenter, why would this 'friend' put out 'his observed location'? and in Czechoslovakia?? - 4) No clues or evidence of him leaving this country & checking into another. They have/keep records of that stuff - the local LE has access to get that info. 5) unless, the other option is, if FBI did help him, bcuz he helped them in regards to Mexican Mob - he's in protective custody, name & identity change. Again, Czechoslovakia, really? 6) Yes, I'm a skeptic, but this whole comment seems to be 'a bit obsurd'. Maybe this 'friends comment' is a homemade attempt by himself, (or FBI, not known for being the smartest cookies in the jar) for 'throwing off any further searches' ! 7) Whatever the case is, it did sound as if He was very definetly planning to get out of dodge, for whatever reason.
Every family member you find is a blessing in disguise, Yes, the family have answers, but it has to take a toll on you wonderful people out there "putting boots on the ground" . Protect yourselves, burnout is a difficult thing to live through. Stay safe Jared and Doug and the rest of your team. I have so much admiration for you all. Love and hugs from Adelaide Australia xx
The job you guys do is amazing! Don't give up, you are on the right path, that is also a beautiful one. I'm cheering for you. Best, from your friend from Brazil 💚🇧🇷🇺🇲💚🙏
Good catch with your phone there at the beginning Doug! As others have said, at least we know where he isn't. You guys tried and that's all you can do for now. Hopefully other information will surface that will lead you back to this case in the future. Thank all y'all for what you do! As usual, excellent cinematography, content and hosts!! Prayers for healing for Jared!
Thanks for all you do guys! Big big thanks to your family’s💕 Always remember you have to take care of yourselves before you can help anyone else. Take those breaks that you need!
When this happened, it was said that the tire tracks lead to the water's edge where a sapling had been broken over and the license plate was wedged into a gash in that sapling. Also, at the time, the story was that he met with the band members in the Mexican restaurant and told them that he had cancelled the upcoming gigs without explanation. The band members all left before Bobby.
I'm sorry you guy's didn't find anything. You did what you could. I know you won't give up. What you do for the families is awesome. Please always remember to stay safe and tell your families you love them. You are all Angels in disguise everyone of you. 😇
To the AWP, Chaos, and other teams doing these searches: THANK YOU ALL! I can't even imagine what the families of the missing people have been through...the frustration of not knowing what happened to their loved ones, and the heartache of not being able to bring them home/bury them. It has taken a huge toll on them. You, with the help of donations and support, are able to find answers and bring closure to the families and help them begin to heal. Again, thank you for all you do. Stay safe, and make sure that you take time for yourselves. I'm sorry Jared is sick in this one. I hope he is feeling better. Oh, and to the ones who help edit the videos: you are doing a great job, too!

IF he's still alive and finds out about this search, he should discretely reach out to AWP, because these searches are putting people's lives in harms way. These people voluntarily put their lives at risk to find answers for the people left behind. It would be terrible if they would dive and have an accident while searching for somebody that isn't lost...
I agree because with water running that it could very easily take a diver and send him/her into a pile of logs or something else ripping their mask off cut them up extremely badly it’s like the undertow in the Gulf or one of the Oceans
I'm sorry but Jones isn't alive. He has been in water for 15 years and the limit for a human is 2 minutes before they drown and the water was moving fast the day he was missing so the water went through his car fast atleast 25MPH
Sorry to hear Jared has the "heebie-jeebies." Don't know if suffers from anxiety, but I can offer my solidarity if that's the case. Travel can do a number on you. These cases are a great way to distract your brain and provide a focus point, but at the same time it's heavy stuff that can weigh you down.
I did not like Doug's comments about Jared having "heebie jeebies". If Jared has anxiety and or depression, just say that and DON'T say he is "soft". That is disrespectful to a man who is putting the spotlight on you on a platform he has built. @Doug Bishop you can do better by your friend. Assuming you are Jared's friend. Work to understand...many many other people relate to the challenges. Make an effort and don't be a richard. #dobetter #mentalhealthawareness

Maybe Just Maybe, Jared is ill (Flu, Cold, Covid) or physically tired of all the go go go. Doug is just not wanting people to worry and was trying to be "lite" so we won't worry. Jared, you take care of you and don't worry.
To Doug and Jared I live un colorado and in the pueblo area that bridge right there is not to far from where I live there has been many deaths found in that river but missing is always scary I am so grateful for what you all do and will always appreciate with what you do. Oh so I thought you all were in Colorado because that bridge is in pueblo colorado but if not in Colorado then always still grateful.
Wait a minute. I just read this in your description "A search of the river turned up the car itself, a red four-door 1993 Chevrolet Lumina. Investigators have been unable to remove the vehicle from the water, however, or to search for Jones's body, because the currents are too fast and it would be dangerous." IS THIS TRUE?
In 1991 all of Texas flooded. It was my son’s senior year. Just before Christmas break. We lived near the Pecan Bayou in Central Texas. We were flooded in. They drove my pickup to the north and made it through. The Bayou runs in to the Colorado below Brownwood. The two major rivers Colorado and the Brazos ran wild for a week. They didn’t care who or what was in their way! Just thought I would share. You guys be safe!
From the Charley Project: "A search of the river turned up the car itself, a red four-door 1993 Chevrolet Lumina. Investigators have been unable to remove the vehicle from the water, however, or to search for Jones's body, because the currents are too fast and it would be dangerous." So was his car indeed found, or is the info the Charley Project has wrong?
Thanks for your continued efforts to find people. Cases like this one must be hard - but don’t get discouraged. At least the family knows where he is not.
Ask yourself- how would the license plate get into a bush nearby? The plates on the car were new at the time. Plates don’t pull off easily. They’re recessed into the car. No. Just don’t see a fast-moving car losing its plate on a bush. With the river level of 45 feet, I don’t even see the car near the shore. Someone planted the plate. Suicide or murder. I don’t think a suicidal person would care if the plate was found. Who needed the world to know he was dead? Who inherited his life insurance? Who got his job at the station? Who was his lover? His lover’s other lover? Look for motive.
There are also rumors that he's in the witness protection program, and that's why police never really did do a search and recover the car. Hmmmm. Depending on who he owed these debts to, it's plausible IMHO.
Jered doug and all the awp the work you do and the hours you put in amd take from your family to go out your way and help look for answers to people unknown to yourselves shows what true hero's and true inspirational humans really are. I watch all your videos and on many have cried. So touching and u treat each case with such respect. Love u guys xx
The Charley Project states that the car was located but not retrieved due to dangerous water conditions. Several articles talk about objects located underwater but not checked for several months, and one states that only a concrete block was found. They have the number for the Wharton County Sheriffs Office in the Charley article, but don’t know if you spoke to them.
@@rainbowmom7582 I'm not familiar with The Charley organization but I do know for a fact Bobby's car has never been located anywhere in the river or on dry land.
@@scottsimpson5223 please reach out to the Charley Project and let them know they have the wrong information. I hope he is eventually found. I can't imagine what his friends & family are going through. ☹️
Has a loose license plate ever been found before, just randomly in a bush? What you usually find is the plate on a car or no plate at all. Car parts at the edge but I don't ever remember you finding a plate. Sounds odd to me. Great job by everyone.
Crowd fund them a boat towed magnometer. Photon 5 is over $15,000, but if a rig is ever buried it would detect it. also could search faster as it indicates 2-3 knots for searching small objects only, and can be used at almost any speed, so run a grid with the Photon 5, which would immediately allow bypassing logs and rocks, then go sonar the big masses of ferrous metals to see detail
Bro Doug & Jared, The Brazos & Washington river has water of deep & fast, but the bad thing is the silt & sand bar movement. Most likely the car is buried with sand. contact the county flood control district for river level and flooding records.
URGENT! ** Please! Could you look into the Lester Raymond Jones Jr. case in Starkville, Mississipi? He and his vehicle went missing in 2010. Was set to receive his Master’s degree shortly before his disappearance. Thank you for all that you guys do!
Great job guys, I love the passion that Doug and Chaos Diver put in these case. I am agree with Doug, Lindsey have play role in the team gathering more info possible that can help to solve the case. I hope the family one day find out what happened to him, is bad living without knowing what happened to their beloved one.
The amount of speculation occurring in this video is highly disappointing. Literally accusing a man of possibly faking his death without much investigation on their part seems kinda inflammatory and clickbait-y and, as a Texan, I'm a little offended. I fully admit it could be true, but you don't just go around saying it without considerable evidence.
@@angieemm I am from Wharton and knew Mr. Jones and Lived there when this happened. AWP is not accusing him of faking it but when you know the person that is missing the idea of witness protection and faking it is not to far from the truth.
@@angieemm They didn't accuse him of it but said it was a possibility because they heard a lot of speculation from people that knew Bobby saying that this might be the case. My parents used to go to Bobby's dances all the time, and that's the general consensus of their group of friends as well. 🤷
I tend to favor the state's evidence theory. With Witness Protection, if you actually follow all the rules, you'll never be found. It requires a complete cut, no contact with outside family or anything. You get a new identity, a new location, etc. You have to keep a low profile and blend in, though, something that can be hard for an entertainer. A license plate would not have been found in the bushes, most likely. Something that light would have washed miles downstream if it was separated from the vehicle.
@@debragreen7272 I'll further add, it is surprisingly hard to separate just the plate from the vehicle in a collision. I have seen the aftermath of plenty of collisions with a front license plate. The forces of a crash tend to just push the plate back against the bumper rather than rip it out. Even when the bumper is completely ripped off, the plate stays on the bumper. If they'd found the bumper with the plate, I'd say, yeah, maybe an accident. But just the plate? I don't see any way. There's also the fact that every single vehicle they've found, aside from deliberate dumps, have had intact license plates even after decades underwater. When you compile everything, there's just no way that plate got there by chance. It was deliberately placed and he deliberately vanished or was disappeared.
I'll just add another possibility: if you have the right connections, there are people who can make you disappear in a non-lethal manner. Get you out of the country and / or hide you behind a trail of very dangerous people who even the mob would be very hesitant to deal with.
I really hope his family and friends get in touch! There seem to be a lot of somewhat outlandish rumors about this and, as you guys have proven Occam's Razor in the past, the simplest explanation is usually the right one. Just my take on the case: I think the big question is how far the vehicle could have been carried by intense flood current and where he actually went in. There appears to be secluded access to the river NW of his house at the 960 bridge and to the south at Stolle Ln. I wouldn't pay too much attention to rumors of leaving because of gambling debt, because if he had the resources to run away, he would have had the resources to pay off that debt. He showed all the red flags of carefully planning his death for weeks: cancelled appointments and gigs, and leaving his instrument behind, perhaps also taking steps to insure that his sister inherited all of his belongings and legal ability to handle his estate. I do not believe he would have left that instrument behind if he had just run away. Accordians are crazy-expensive and sort of a unique item to replace, and skilled players attract a lot of attention within that community. If he were to drive into the river purposely, there is no way he would have knowingly destroyed that instrument. The only other possibility, to my mind, is that he went south to the Gulf and is in the bay, only 40-45 minutes away, but probably where everyone in the area goes to enjoy the water.
I just read a story on The Charley Project that said, "A search of the river turned up the car itself, a red four-door 1993 Chevrolet Lumina. Investigators have been unable to remove the vehicle from the water, however, or to search for Jones's body, because the currents are too fast and it would be dangerous." Have you reached out to authorities to see if it was true?

The car could easily be buried in the river. With shifting sands here in Lake Michigan, old wrecks appear on beaches, clearly visible with its framing showing, and a week later disappearing covered in sand again. A magnetometer is needed on this search.
I live in Wharton. Small town. Dont know how I didnt hear about you guys in town. There are a few different routes to El Campo that cross the river. Theres the backroads through Glen Flora and then A bit further up stream on 59, rather than Business 59 by the Los Cucos restaurant.

If you don't know Tim's story and his daughter Laura it's a sad one but he turned it into a way of giving back. Blessings to you all.
They can rust off too and just come off while driving (happened to my mom's car) but there are too many coincidences here for that to seemingly be the case.
You guys should feel good about yourselves and what you do, I know you're special to God. Keep up the good work, and stay strong, what you do can make you very weary, so keep praying for your strength and never give up!! ✌🤞
I think things get carried downstream in raging floodwater a lot further than people think. Things that would normally sink to the bottom are kept afloat by the force of the flow. A car would sink, but probably retain enough air to keep it partially buoyant for some time. And if that flood was running at 10 mph then in just ten minutes he'd be more than a mile and a half downstream. It's also possible that the car was torn apart by the force of the water, the floating logs and tumbling rocks carried in the flow. What was the condition of the number plate they found, had it been torn away or carefully removed ?
In a river like that, a car could very easily be buried by gravel coming down and just filling it in. There was a rock that we used to get our lures caught on on a river my dad and I fished. Came back a year later, and the rock was buried with sand and gravel.
Rumors about him being in Czechoslovakia were circulating around years ago. I was at some of his performances at church picnics around here when I was younger
I like how around here in winter time we are wearing coats, but then when AWP, who I assume is from northern climates, drive into town, its no big deal. Short sleeves and all. And we freeze.
I love what you guy's do for these families. I just came across another missing person's case. He's been missing for 2wks Thelonious Lamar Green, 54, was last seen leaving a gathering held at 9191 Penny Creek Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. on June 4. He was last seen driving a blue 2003 Ford F-150 with South Carolina license plate number ARB-647.(Charleston County Sheriff's Office)

People hating on Doug don’t understand that this man has dedicated his life to finding closure to others families. While you’re all sat on RUclips comments judging.
The question that comes to my mind is the following. When a car hits the water, the tire tracks are in one direction. You can never make it back on the same track, that's impossible. So my question is, is there any pictures or other evidence of the tire tracks??? The car is currently untraceable and there are still too many questions unanswered. More answers are needed to arrive at a new plan.
They put the boat in right across the street from the Wharton County police station. Might have found some valuable information to add some local law enforcement.

We appreciate you taking the time to search for Bobby. We've even had his fans searching for him in Europe and following up on the rumors. . That was some of the fastest flowing water I’ve seen! Glad y’all are always making safety a number one concern with these searches. Well done on this video
You should have seen how fast it was flowing when he disappeared.
Could very well been buried. We had hurricane Harvey flood houses on the Colorado River up stream. Also have had some high waters over the years after he went missing.
@🌬 How We Suffer for Our Sanity not true because it was pulled off on the tree the car hit on its way into the river. Plate was found.

Thanks,

Absolutely a God send to these wonderful families and bringing peace and comfort to them. Many prayers for you all and blessings.Much Love 🦋
@@WardenWolf I agree.
😳😬 - Posted with their permission
=======================
I knew Bobby personally
I would like to remain anonymous
Here is what I know as fact.
=====
Tell us your thoughts!
4) No clues or evidence of him leaving this country & checking into another.
That is not what happened at all. He disappeared in the morning.

IF he's still alive and finds out about this search, he should discretely reach out to AWP, because these searches are putting people's lives in harms way. These people voluntarily put their lives at risk to find answers for the people left behind. It would be terrible if they would dive and have an accident while searching for somebody that isn't lost...

That river was running good on June 22nd 2007 to early morning the 23rd. at approx a discharge rate of 14k cubic feet per second.
You have started one heck of a movement. You guys are amazing. Thank you and your families.
I signed to Jacob right after he first showed up at AWP he is a awesome person with his heart on his sleeve
Love how you guys explain into detail telling what happened so amazing
From the Charley Project: "A search of the river turned up the car itself, a red four-door 1993 Chevrolet Lumina. Investigators have been unable to remove the vehicle from the water, however, or to search for Jones's body, because the currents are too fast and it would be dangerous." So was his car indeed found, or is the info the Charley Project has wrong?
And the investigating agency was the Wharton County Sheriff's Office...you might try contacting them for more details(where the car was located)
I just read that myself. I was wondering too.
I hope they read your comments.
Email them at their support email link on the description
Jared, get well soon. You guys are amazing.
Thanks for your continued efforts to find people. Cases like this one must be hard - but don’t get discouraged. At least the family knows where he is not.
Thank you and all the other members of your teams for bringing the missing home to their families
Texas driver, here. They do come off very easily. I've lost them in bushes just from parking.
I'm almost 70.
Never known anyone who lost a license plate without losing the bumper also.
There are also rumors that he's in the witness protection program, and that's why police never really did do a search and recover the car. Hmmmm. Depending on who he owed these debts to, it's plausible IMHO.
Trees ripped it off his little car on the way down
@@jasonhaynes2952 he isn't in the witness protection program
His car was NEVER located
@@scottsimpson5223 does the Charley Project have the wrong information?
@@rainbowmom7582 I'm not familiar with The Charley organization but I do know for a fact Bobby's car has never been located anywhere in the river or on dry land.
@@scottsimpson5223 please reach out to the Charley Project and let them know they have the wrong information. I hope he is eventually found. I can't imagine what his friends & family are going through. ☹️
Jacob has just given me my new favorite quote:
"Let's do what we know how to do. "
Y’all are amazing hoping everyone is ok Jared feel better soon praying for y’all and your mission daily.
This is a hard one to figure out. I hope y’all get answers to this case. God bless and thank you for your hard work.
Bro Doug & Jared, The Brazos & Washington river has water of deep & fast, but the bad thing is the silt & sand bar movement. Most likely the car is buried with sand. contact the county flood control district for river level and flooding records.
Please don't get Discouraged. Y'all do such good work. I Love y'all. God sent y'all to help families and friends. Love y'all 💞💞 From Illinois ❤️❤️❤️
URGENT!
Not all angles have wings, some have boats, sonar, and scuba gear… that means EVERYONE involved in the AWP movement!
Other sites say the car was found in the river but was unable to recovered.
My thoughts exactly!
God bless you and your family and your fellow searchers. Please stay safe
You don't much money to get in to Mexico .
Sometimes there’s just nothing left for you to do. Good job as always. God bless you and keep you safe.
God has blessed the world with you guys and all you do. You have resolved end of life information for so many families. God bless you

EquuSearch did amazing work for the Summer Wells case.
Thanks! You are doing awesome things for people and the environment. Keep up the great work
The first thing I thought was that the license plate was planted. How often is a license plate just fall off like that?
They can rust off too and just come off while driving (happened to my mom's car) but there are too many coincidences here for that to seemingly be the case.
@@skylarkgames6720 so not impossible but not a common occurrence
The fastest day the river ever moved would be a good opportunity to fake a disappearance.
Rumors about him being in Czechoslovakia were circulating around years ago. I was at some of his performances at church picnics around here when I was younger

He's from Adams Run, S.C.

Why did he have all his cats put to sleep? That in itself is very odd.
