When I watched this I thought it would be funny if the scarecrow was turning human whilst Tommy was becoming a scarecrow like a dark version of Pinocchio, except without the talking cricket.

well ghosts are supposedly spirits trapped in time, basically their life is a loop. if he died into the harold or whatever he’d probably be drunk the whole time, i think he’d be okay😭

I love that idea. That he's still conscious in there as he is being tormented by young boys that passes him, throwing stuff at him, the same way he tormented Harold. Like he's just there hanging in the garden, longing to be a real live flesh boy and not some scarecrow in the middle of the farm. But this is his punishment now and he has to suffer for the rest of his life, well until the curse is broken. But the jerk deserved it, the guy was an asshole

This scene is perfect, DON'T GET ME WRONG! But it would've been cool if his hair got all distorted and hay started coming out from under it. And his fingers/toes grew and snapped because they'd become loose from that and scarecrows have loose fingers. And his bones started snapping so he'd fall down and be limp like a scarecrow. And his shoes bursted open as hay flooded out of them. And he spit up bloody hay before dying.

a visceral and fatal metamorphosis,in my opinion, Harold should therefore have become Tommy, a horrible death, no doubt, but for the speed of the transformation, maybe it was fast.The last thing he asked me is if Harold took the time to place Tommy in the middle of the cornfield.
