- Video showing the installation of the wiring from the fuel sending unit to the dash gauge.
The sending unit does not care what voltage you are using, the fuel gauge must be the same voltage as the jeep.

Glad that I found this. I need plenty of pictures and details. Mine was working fine then just stopped. Shows fill when it is. But then starts flickering back and forth with condensation builds up on the glass. Then it will just go to E. I am figuring ground some where. 1946 CJ 2A . Sorry that I found you so late.

Great video. My guage works when the engine is off. Pegs to full with engine running. I've checked ground on every single component on the Jeep. Twice. Disconnected and reinstalled the guage like 4 times... grr.
Great video. I have been following along in wiring my MB and this is extremely helpful. Am I missing something though? Can't find a video that links #10 Video (installing ignition switch) to #22, which would explain the routing and. connection of the A-7823 Harness, including where it routes through the firewall.

What amp circuit breaker did you use? The original wiring diagram shows it going from ignition to gauge.
What are the part numbers for the fuel gauge harness? Can regular wire with a heavily protected jacket be used?
Is there a full bond strap video?
Will rewiring the fuel gauge help with these problems. Moisture on the inside of lens when running. Will show full but drops to empty with fuel still in it. Wiggles back and forth very quickly.? Any one interested in a 46 CJ2A with military trailer. Lots of extra parts.? $15,000.
