The best part is that the people who made this movie clearly have massive respect for both Batman and Shredder. Shredder had to pull out the big guns in order to win, using a technique that Leonardo mentioned could potentially kill him if he got it wrong. The fact that he had to resort to that and is visibly exhausted at the end means that he and Batman were very evenly matched.
