Interesting how in one small area there can be so many large homes like that just left abandoned. Cool tour, have a great weekend!

Crazy how something like that happens! But I think the area is becoming resuscitated now slowly but surely.

You may love the skies, but you must not love your camera or you wouldn't walk away from it or even hold it walking up the street where you're at because don't think you're alone, not for one second.

As many times as I’ve been up there for the IndyCar race, I’ve never really explored the Birmingham area. I’ll be in Tuscaloosa next weekend, so I might run over and check this area out. Hopefully I’ll have better weather!
Why no narration for this video? It’s always enjoyable to hear your thoughts on what you’re seeing, along with descriptions of how you capture your images.

Thanks for the nice comments! I’ll be sure to narrate in the future! I had some severe allergies this week and narration would have sounded pretty bad!

@@KeithdotsonThe event I came to Tuscumbia for was too rainy for me to go to (hopefully tomorrow will be better), so I headed over Birmingham way and cruised around Norwood, trying to capture some of the houses that you did. I’m dying to know what date you were there? The house at the 24 minute mark still has the black trash bag on the porch, but the front door is now covered with plywood.

    HI, Keith.
What a shame that such beautiful and large houses are just empty.
And it is not just a few houses, but very beautiful houses that are just about to decay. Those houses and the land that goes with them also have a financial value, don't they? This is also not good for the people who live in their houses there. It seems to me that selling their house will not be easy when there are so many empty houses around. It does produce very nice photos.
    Until the next production, Keith.
    Antoine.

Thanks Antoine! Yeah I think people are regaining interest in the neighborhood and probably finding bargains that they can fix up or rebuild on the lots.
