5:59 Every frame is a group of stripes that order by the mask. If there is 8 frames, the black stripes in the mask is the space between black 7 times. The frames are orderd from side to side in the correct order. Then, when you move the mask on the drawing of the all frames you can see it moving. Our brain connecting the frames and translate it to animation. (Like in every single video)

I figured out the wheel illusion, apparently the wheel spins both ways, so like it spins right for a moment and then just when you try to figure out what's happening it turns left. Its really smooth so you'll have to look closely.
