TWIN Angle Grinder HACK - Make A Twin Angle Grinder Powered Wood Chipper | DIY

Hello Everyone!
Today I show you how to make a wood chipper. I used two angle grinders to power this wood chipper. This wood chipper mechanism is made with the circular saw blades. Totally I used twenty two circular saw blades to make this wood chipper. This wood chipper shreds the wood very fastley. This homemade wood chipper really works good. WOW !! I just got done commenting on your single grinder video. This is really cool and I think has a LOT more potential. I'd love to see you try it with the blades off set from each other and with the 2 shafts closer together so that its chipping, chopping, cutting sooner with no chance of jamming. And of course a video with a chute attached and you just chucking branch's in and them gravity feeding and getting CHIPPED TO BITS !! I think you could just drill more holes an inch closer but it looks like there already so close to the edge that you would have to redo the spacing on one to get the blade overlapping and centered in between the opposing blades.. Hope you can find time to try it !! 👍

Hi, I am a gardener and I was looking for how to make myself a 50/60 mm diameter wood chipper with foliage. Well you just gave me the solution! good me I must be in terms (much more practical). but I think with a system of belts and pulley it should do the trick. 😉

500 полуляхов из 250ти! Номинант на премию Дарвина! Нет, победитель, безусловно победитель. Я даже не хочу думать что будет если закусит или пара зубьев полетит в лоб "изобретателю". Хотя можно было бы модернизировать, пилы должны вращаться в одну сторону, тогда ветки не будет закусывать, во вторых обязателен кожух.

Hola me parece bi na solución pero por seguridad le pondría unas tapas para que no estén expuestas las cuchillas y solo dejando un orificio para poder meter las varas o el material que se desee triturar ... Gracias muy buenas noches

It does pull the wood in, that is why he's pushing it piece by piece instead of shoving it lengthwise.

@@kokoilie You are technically right, but I really meant that when the wood is being pushed into the blades, the user is standing perpendicular to the pull action of the chipper, unlike a regular wood chipper where the user stands parallel to the chipper's pull action. This is why I think this design is one of the safest because the user is not in peril of being pulled accidentally into the blades.

Now upgrade it with a backplate and a Ramrod to push the minced what ever gets put through it out the funnel end, and maybe a cover for the top of it to minimize debris getting thrown everywhere but also to keep your hands attached and not minced.

Great idea, until you use it in the garden with branches laying on the ground and you trip......
That said, with a longish tubular(square/rectangular) shute/guard above the blades(and maybe a short slot on one side to use it like in the video) I would actually consider making this myself...

Что-то я посчитал стоимость 22 отрезных дисков, 4 подшипников и двух "болгарок", они же ушм... За эти деньги вполне можно прикупить промышленно изготовленный измельчитель... И "болгарку" на сдачу.

Не выходит 2 новые ушм 3000 + 700 диски + железо, ну ещё 500 , с приёмок. Итого 4.700 , а подшипники забыл, ну ещё 1200. 5.900 ну 6.000. А измельчитель?

Советую почитать фрезерные работы. Там режущую кромку инструмента пускают навстречу материалу. А при таком подходе мало того что не безопасно, так ещё и неконтролируемый захват материала может спровоцировать разрушение механизма.

I think there would be trouble if you fed the branch vertically, hence why he keeps it horizontal.

All mulchers literally feed the branches vertically though their 3 in tubing. That's why only mainly leaves and thin branches go at the top but thicker branches go into the thinner cylinder. The concept is pretty similar.
