Anderson's great, those blue eyes and silver hair. Whether it's a lighting issue or some other camera issue, he looks almost transparent in this spot, especially next to a vibrant Marlo.

Ken M . There's some kind of lens on the camera that is blurring their skin to make them look like they have unlined faces. When you watch his show on CNN, Anderson Cooper has some very deep lines in his forehead (and one very deep between his eyes) , which make him look very distinguished. Here, they're practically erased. Clearly this is done to make Marlo look younger. Even though she has a youthful hairstyle, I would estimate this woman is close to 80 years old.
Face lifts can change a persons looks sometimes drastically, and usually not for the better. Unfortunately a lot of "celebs" won't age gracefully and try to hang on to youth by going under the knife and they end up looking weird instead.
What they don't get is that every age has it's beauty . If they try to take it away with face lifts then they skip their natural beauty for a particular age and end up looking like plastic deformations of their former selves. My wife is in her 20's and gorgeous and she'll no doubt be just as beautiful in her late 70's without any surgery.

All these women look alike when they get their faces done. I wouldn't have recognized Marlo unless I knew it was her or heard her voice. Sad. Wish they would allow themselves to age gracefully.
Yes you're right. She's like Joan Rivers was. She's had so much done that she can hardly mover her mouth of even have any facial expression. Priscilla Presley is the same way. She has made a real mess of her face and she was so beautiful. They all look like they have horrible Halloween masks on.

Why don't you try some REAL investigative reporting? Why don't you give yourself the experience of what it feels like to be an honest truth-seeking journalist? Do it for yourself. Just imagine what a great feeling it will be. I hope for your sake, you finally decide to be a real journalist. Not a script reader. Not a pon. Not a puppet. Not a Twitter reader. A real honest to goodness journalist. Did you go to college to be a journalist? Or did you just get a lucrative job in television? If you are a true journalist, you can't possibly be living a fulfilled purpose. I pray you find the true way. The truth shall set you free. Just do it.
He actually started his career as a freelancer. He was in his early 20s when he went by himself with a hand held camera to a worn torn country (he mentions it in this interview) to report on what was happening.

Anderson is full of shit in saying he found a guest dreadful. He knew she was coming in advance. He is in on the booking of guests. I appreciated Phil Donahue`s style more in the sense that regardless of his personal opinion of a guest he allowed them to make their statements and allowed the audience to gage what was being delivered. Maybe Anderson didn`t last because of this. HOWEVER, I appreciate his reporting. I appreciate his intelligence. I still wouldn`t shtupp him. Good interview nevertheless !!
I so want to like Anderson...but I cannot respect him for not Coming Out earlier in his career. He claims he was "always gay" yet he denies it many times...purely to further his career. He is a sellout. His Coming Out is too little, too late.
Everyone has a right to come out in their own time. Different people have different private life circumstances. Let's not judge each other.
