There's an interview you can read online, from during the time he was in London, where he talks about how bad he used to abuse Xanax, to the point he was having seizures while withdrawing, and he said at the time of the interview, he cut back a significant amount, and only took them when his anxiety was bad or before a show to calm his nerves, and said that's why he liked London, because drugs weren't as easy to get, and weren't around as much as they were in LA. So yes, he was on shit in London. Just not as much as he was in LA.
