I blame the showrunners for that. Daemon in the books is a way better tactician in the books, he humiliate aemond throughout the whole war. They are watering him down with this whole hunted house storyline
@@KolyoSofiata yeah I tend to agree. The dynamics will shift. I like the complexities and the strengths and faults in the characterizations so far. GRRM and the showrunners (which he’s a part of) have treated the books as partly unreliable accounts as well.
One was looking for Marriage at 16, and was hanging around her grommer uncle and kingsguard, while the other is grown, did her duty and her husband has passed. Seems like two completely different situations to me. Plus it’s all made up by the show anyways

simply put, daemon doesn't pretend to be honorable, while cole pretends he is. I can respect the fact that daemon never claimed to be a good person, I can't respect the fact that despite the horrible things cole has done he continues to act like he is holier than thou

Also, I am talking about Show Cole vs Show Daemon. Show Cole has not done worse things than Show Daemon. But Show Cole is hated more because he is a hypocrite. Daemon is my favorite but I recognize he is not a good person. However, I see where he is coming from and his motivations. Cole, I don't understand him and he is a flat character. So, I am surprised by the passionate reaction people have towards him.
@@IndianHeathen1982 I think the fact he's a flat character as you said, who isn't really compelling, is the reason why people passionately hate him - I think it's more so to do with pure annoyance if I'm honest. Like, I hate Larys, but he's such a mystery and you never know what he's gonna do next, which makes him interesting and worthy of staying on the show. Cole is basically just a nuisance at this point and people are tired of seeing it

Even though Alicent says that it's been "weeks" since Viserys died, it feels like it's been years. Probably because it was 1.5 years since that episode was released. Also, that dragon battle was intense!
