Great review. For someone like me who is finalising a trip to Da Nang, this is really helpful. Keep doing the good work 👍

Resorts tend to insulate you from the place you are in rather than allowing you experience it. There is no appreciable difference between any of the four seasons properties. Why fly halfway around the world, when you could just go to Miami Beach?
There are so many hotels in Hoi A that you can’t throw a rock without hitting one. Most of tgem are much closer to old town, and give you a better chance to get around and see how locals do things. If you stay in town, the beach is a 25 minute bike ride through picturesque rice paddies with water buffalo doing their thing.
No matter what anyone says about the food in a resort, there’s just no way it can be better than what’s available outside the walls.
Please do yourself a favor and stay as far away as possible from this type of arrangement. If you are going to another country, enjoy it. Don’t travel to a bubble

While I agree that there are certainly many wonderful hotels in the area, there’s nothing wrong with wanting a lovely beach resort in a beautiful country that also does truly deep dive into Vietnamese culture. You must not have watched the video if you think it looks anything like Miami Beach 🤣. There’s quite literally nothing taller than a palm tree and everything is built in a traditional way. They even have maintained a temple on the grounds. They also urge guests to explore the area and include free shuttles to town. You can also use your bicycles :). I understand if you’re talking about a standard all inclusive resort, but I do have to argue that the four seasons is quite literally the opposite of that. I do truly appreciate your opinion but wanted to share my thoughts for any other readers who may see this comment :)

At the rates offered during Covid (nearly 50% discounted) it was great! But for the prices this hotel commands these days (usually over $1K per night) it’s not worth it. Amanoi down south is superior. And btw, while your transfer was free, they do charge for airport transfers which is absurd in Vietnam-especially with their room rates.

Hi there! Thanks for your comment :) amanoi is definitely on our list. We didn’t say the airport transfer was free, just that the shuttle to Hoi an is - that part is amazing. FS is an amazing jumping off point to the greater area. I have no doubt that amanoi is exceptional, as the brand is world renowned for its superior service. While I’m sure there are many incredible things to see in the Nha Trang area, specifically what makes this four seasons location so great is its proximity to Hoi An, Danang and Hue. There’s a lot of incredible history and culture in this region, in addition to its amazing beach. If you’re just comparing beach vacations, then it’s a fine comparison but if you’re looking at luxury properties in a specific region, the FS definitely hits the nail on the head.
As a side note, every 5 star property in Vietnam we stayed with charge American prices for transfers to the airport and none were free - let me know what hotels you stayed at with free airport transfers! Would love to know!

Loved your video! Brought me back to a beautiful vacation we spent in 2023 in Vietnam. Your review nailed it very well! That is (almost) how I felt about the property. However, we did not experience the service flaws at all. Service and food was exceptional. On the last day I had an ear infection and they went out and beyond to help me clam my pain, especially as I had to fly out to Bangkok that day. They have a nurse on sight for such incidents. Alle the waiters knew our names and knew what we liked.... Very personal indeed. We had a sea view room, slightly slanted to the sea, which had the privacy you were missing. The view was great from there. I highly recommend and it is cheaper that seafront. We loved to bike around the property, especially our kid. I agree with you that they need to upgrade some of the furniture. Otherwise a beautiful hotel next to the most picturesque town in Vietnam.
