Good morning brother Kenny. It looks like you are doing better, back working and making the videos. You are blessed. If I don't see you by Christmas, I hope that you have a good one. "Keep Wrenching" and stay well.
If the customer decides to fix it, make a friend for life and check the sunroof drains. You have falling flora there. If the drains get plugged they can get water into places where modules live...
Hello Mr Kenny, Hope y'all doing well. Raining here in Tennessee, Thank you for the great videos, I look forward to more of your stories though, bet you got quiet a few sir. Hope y'all are ready for Christmas lol.
@bobby9195 Hi Bobby! It's Meg. It's raining here & cold too. I'm not a fan of the cold. Kenny is having a much needed chill day. I hope you are well. Keep wrenching my friend 🔧
I remember back 70s fellow at work gets a call from his wife . car won't move. He figgers his wife isn't putting it in gear. He goes home, jumps in, puts in reverse and it sits still. He looks underneath. No drive shaft. Removed from car in exterior apartment parking lot. I recall it was a dodge dart with an uncommon shaft. Took some effort to find a replacement.
@garydurandt4260 I do almost all of the diagnostics & many of the repairs. We have 2 other mechanics in the shop & they end up completing some of the jobs I have diagnosed. Sometimes the customer decides not to fix the vehicle. Keep wrenching! Kenny
Hey Kenny ! Question if you just purchased a vehicle with 130k mileage would you change trans fluid or leave it alone? It isn’t red but isn’t brown either
I think it's something electronic. IT wasn't like the client said it went "bang" while driving. She said it just died. Sounds like an electronic module went down and then no movement.
Toward the end of the video, i said I spoke to the customer. She said it went bang while she was driving. Hopefully, i will find out what happened this week. I will happily take it apart. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
I am so disappointed with the profession. So many dishonest hacks! Multiple shops just destroyed my neighbor's car... One right after another and they added more problems than they fixed. So far they blew his AC compressor. 1 week later the engine that ran perfectly with ZERO issues, threw a rod through the block. Used, caked up motor installed with tons of codes. Broken hoses, broken wires, missing tie-downs, harnesses laying on moving parts, steering binding up, and the list goes on. I am so disgusted that he is being so taken advantage of! I don't have a decent enough sized audience to even bother throwing a fit.... This is so common and so outrageous.

@glennfields8121 hi Bob! It's Meg. Kenny is doing better. He is resting today. I hope you are well. Keep wrenching 🔧

Absolutely! Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
Thanks Kenny! Have a blessed day and God bless y'all
@goodcitizen64 Thanks brother. I hope you are well. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny

Hope your feeling better. I have gotten numerous tips & tricks out of your videos...👍
@taylorsvilletony773 I'm glad I could help. Thanks for watching. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
hope we get to see a tear down of it someday. just to see what happen. would be cool.
Kenny, do a follow up video and let us know. Thanks.
If the customer decides to repair the car, I will do my best to make a follow up video. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
I was going to watch this and then I thought... Bill, you have a 6sp manual Jetta. 🤣
😂 thanks for the laugh Doc. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
No gears usually a pressure problem. The pop noise could be the pump or what drives the pump blew apart. Could check pressure off transmission direct.
That's what I think too. I hope to get further into to it & make a follow up video. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
All neutrals,, lol,, I love that !!

That is crazy! thanks for sharing that one. Keep wrenching! Kenny
Kenny, really enjoy your videos, watched a couple so far. Do you ever repair the vehicles or merely diagnose their faults?
@garydurandt4260 I do almost all of the diagnostics & many of the repairs. We have 2 other mechanics in the shop & they end up completing some of the jobs I have diagnosed. Sometimes the customer decides not to fix the vehicle. Keep wrenching! Kenny
I would have looked at the wiring harness and connector going to the TCM before I made the customer wait a week! Could be bad TCM.
@LGoldsmith-p5m based on what the customer said & the way the car is acting I'm going to say it's not a TCM issue. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
@WrenchingWithKenny Looking forward to your complete analysis when you get back to it 😉
Maybe it placed itself in neutral to save the transmission.
I wish that was the case. Hopefully, I can get further into doing the repair. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny

@SawyerFord13 I would leave it alone. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
This is an easy diag Kenny, it’s a Volkswagen lol
Is that a launch? Have you tried laumch x431 pro elite off amazon? One manufactured in china? What do you think of the scan tool?
@AaronWalske yes. I really like it. Easy to use & cost efficient. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
Probably transmission filter overdue.

duel mass flywheel type? Those were nothing but trouble
@campermike8879 thankfully it's the flex plate & converter design. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
I'm first. My guess pin in shifter linkage. Haven't watch yet.
It has park so that's not it. I'm hopeful to get further into repair. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
No torque converter on this trans. Two multi plate clutches. This transmission is complicated. A German triumph of complication!
Oh yeah, it's a handful for sure. Keep wrenching! Kenny
Kenny, you verbaly said the Jetta has 132k miles, but your scan report shows 212,650 miles. Did you notice that?
@eadelfin For some reason, the scanner converts to kilometers, no matter how many times I set it to miles. I'm not sure why. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
Sounds like input shaft broke into convertor
I think the pump exploded. I'm hoping to get i to it & see what happened. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
@@WrenchingWithKenny Will do Sir !!!
Sounds catastrophic to me
OOPS
Another great video
Check the CV shafts
It goes into park & holds. So it can't be a CV shift. Keep wrenching 🔧 Kenny
VW= junk 😂
None of the vehicles are built like they were!
