Just received this machine i am so impressed with it especially at half price sale at spotlight may 2023😊 your talk has given me peace of mind and also explained a few things. Thank you
Interestingly beautiful! I am from the USA I actually bought this SINGER HD6700C sawing Machine; the SINGER 9960 sawing and quilting machine with all the accessory kit. + another brand call AVERMA Computerized Embroidery machine. With your expertise and experience on this machine has actually given me a lots rest of mind, knowing that I bought something pretty good quality. They cost pretty a bit money, but I am happy. Thank you!
Thanks for the review. You answered many of my questions about this machine. I will say though, if you haven’t tried the walking foot, you will love it since you do a lot of multi-layered or thick projects. I couldn’t do without my walking foot.
Thanks so much for this review to help me get to know this machine before I buy it. I've been sewing projects here and there for about 10 years on the same old wimpy machine. This sounds like the perfect upgrade for me to start sewing more often again. It's like you said, the little things make a difference, because I want to be able to put in more time without getting so tired of it all. Listening to you talk about all the functionality, I'm getting excited to start!
I've just ordered a HD6805C after my old Janome blew up so it was great to get a run-through of the main features of this family of Singers, and I must say I'm looking forward, thankyou!
Thankyou so so much for this video!! I was thrilled to see my local had one cos play machine in stock and was so happy to nab it however on the way out to my car I saw this one hiding in a display.... Oooooh! I sat in my car and watched your video and after seeing the features you pointed out I went back in and grabbed it!!! Watching your vid on repeat like you are my best friend teaching me everything I need to know. This is my birthday present matchine and I'm over the moon! Happy new year and thanks again!
I have seen this model and wondered about it. I have a couple of older semi -industrial singers that were built in Italy in the early 70’s and they will sew absolutely anything! Very heavy motors, and I say that’s key when it comes to sewing satisfaction. There is nothing worse than trying to sew with a machine that is really designed for simple mending. It will make you throw up your hand and quit. The bells and whistles are nice but a powerful smooth running machine that will sew denim and/or thick layers really gives you a lot of freedom to create.
what would you recommend for a beginner that wants to sew hunting clothes with winstop fabric with fleece and outer poly or cotton layer. webbing for straps and belts. and my wtichy girlfriend that wants to make tarot car card bags, table cloths, maybe a throw cover. appreciate your time.
Thank you SO much - your video is helpful and fun at the same time. I have just been given this machine so look forward to all of your videos. Thank you 🙏
Just ordered my own today after watching your review ☺️ soo excited for it to get here as my older machine isn't any good for doing heavy duty sewing and I've been doing alot of that the last few weeks
Thanks for the review! It's got some great kit!! Have you sewed anything super thick like 4 layers of denim or 2+ layers of upholstery fabric? I sew a lot through a 2-4mm layer of neoprene/foam and 2layers of fabric. Would you think that would fit under the presser foot?
Hello, Thanks for a great review😊 I’m thinking about this model or the SINGER HEAVY DUTY HD6805C. I’m just wondering if you have noticed if it sounds more/makes more noice while sewing compared to non heavy duty machines? Thanks in advance ❤
Hi ! Thanks for your video. Can you tell us what kind of "canette" it use ? I m from france and I can t find this information. And i waiting for my Sewing machine the same as your. Thank you for your Answer 💐
A really informative charming review Thank You Off to my sewing shop £285 or $510 Aus dollars on special for this model Regards from colonial Australia
@@SoWhatIfISew Ah, thanks. Such a helpful review; I know what you mean about the...jouissance!...of working with a thing that "sees" you so well in its design.
a few questions fir you. 1) when using the foot puddle do you need to push the material through, or does it feed it self to a degree like the auto feature? 2) Can you sew leather (like the Singer 5523 advertise)? 3)I have been told to stay clear of the Singer Outlet......whats your experience been with them? I'm looking for my first Machine, after making my first skirt with my friends 9985. But I am a Steampunker, so will be working with leather and thick materials. What would you recommend?
Thanks for watching! The fabric pretty much feeds itself through but you should still be guiding it as you would on a normal machine. You should be able to sew leather as long as you use the correct weight of needles! I've only had brilliant experiences with Singer Outlet and I would definitely recommend them ☺️ hopefully that helps!
I have the 6705c and I’m finding it quite intimidating lol it doesn’t come with instructions on how to use it, can you do a video tutorial sewing a basic garment please ❤
Thanks so much for this review. I'm just looking for my upgrade machine, moving up from my Singer Tradition. I just need something with a bit more power and room. Love my Singer but everyone else reviews Janomes!!!
hi why i can't get a review or project on the singer hd6605c.I just got it and need some inspiration. Its something wrong with this machine.? thank you
Hello..thank you very much for your review .. do you by any chance know if Singer has any plans for making their machines more quilter friendly by offering more throat space to the right of the needle say about adding another 2 inches at minimum...? Quilters these days like to do their own quilting and the throat space is very much needed.
Thanks for watching! Singer have a range of specific quilting machines and I know machines like the C240 featherweight have a lot more throat space so I don't know if that might be a useful starting place?
Hello, Can u pls share ur opinion between this one and the 4452? I use it mostly to sew hard fabrics. Horse blankets with many layers and strong trims( heavier than a backpack or sleeping bag). Thank u for reading
I just recently got this machine, was working great!! Then all of a sudden my stitches seem to be all loose, backstitching is horrible looking and I can’t for the life of me figure it out! Singers website is not much help either 😅
I'm sorry to hear that's happening and I'm sure you've resolved it by now! But just incase: I would double check the whole thread path at the top of the machine to make sure it's not jumping any points and then I would probably fully defluff your bobbin case and underneath the foot plate - if in doubt I would get it serviced and I hope you can resolve it soon! x
Hi, I am thinking about getting this machine. You said it is also doing good on lighter fabric right? Because I do have some experience in sewing but it would be the only machine I have in my home. The old one sadly is useless by now. So my question is would this singer machine work as an only sewing machine? :D
Are you still happy with this machine? I have singer heavy duty 4423 and I am thinking of upgrading (my daughter's machine broke so she will get my singer and I am planning to get something a bit better). I sew a lot, mainly knit fabrics but I do own an overlocker.
Hi There I just got the same sewing machine and everytime I press on the reverse stitch button it keeps sewing as normal and doesn’t do a reverse stitch with straight stitching. Do you have any idea what I’m doing wrong?
Is this model sold in the US or UK? I saw the 6700C on US Singer website but seeing 6705C review sounds 👍 for me; just wondering about the denim needle you mentioned not going in and it is for sewing jeans/denim fabric that I'm considering the Singer heavy duty. BTW I wanted to see any 6700C with that smaller screen because the Singer website would only show the video of the next model with a bigger screen eventhough they are showing the 6700C. Thanks for showing the screen on 6705C, even though a bit.
Thank you for this review. I have a SingerOne plus. I’m looking at getting a more heavy duty and faster speed. Do you think this machine is a upgrade or on the same level as the SingerOne plus? Or do you think the quantum stylist machines are a better upgrade. Thanks 😊 and Happy New Year 🥳
I am very disappointed with this machine. 18 months in and something with the motherboard has gone. Took it to my local repair person and said the machine would cost more to have it repaired. 😢😢😢

Great thorough review. In the US it’s a 6700c. I plan on buying this after your review. Love how detailed you are without waffling on excessively😊
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Don't have it as yet, but your review has swung me to it. I'm already searching for the best price here in New Zealand. Thanks for such good video.

I recently bought mine for 259€ and it is amazing 😍

Looking good machine , thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Singer's US Model Number is 6800C. A great machine that currently sells for USD $299-$349.
There is a difference. The display screen, for example. Hence the different model numbers.
The knob on the top left should be the presser foot not the foot pedal. You were right first time
A really informative charming review
Thank You
Off to my sewing shop £285 or $510 Aus dollars on special for this model

Did you ever get to the bottom of the mystery of the denim needle? I'm eyeballing this model specifically for jeans...
I did! It turned out to just be the type of denim needles i had from a previous machine, singer 120 needles fit perfectly

I'm glad it was useful, thanks for watching! I have used Brother, Janome, and Singer - and I'm a Singer girl through and through!
Sooo helpful. Many thanks
Its a great vedio. Watched this several times. How much is this machine.
Hello from Turkey. Thank you for the explanations. What is the difference between this and 6805c model?
Thanks for watching! The main difference is that the 6805c has a built in thread cutter button, that's pretty much it!
Great video my machine came today 😂😂
I used to have a Starlet too!
Haw to set this heavy duty sewing batton hols thanks
I'm having trouble making hems, I don't know the hem stitch, I don't have instructions.. and need some help
Can you alter the size of the lettering stitch?
Can this machine be used instead of a over locker? X
hi why i can't get a review or project on the singer hd6605c.I just got it and need some inspiration. Its something wrong with this machine.? thank you
In addition to the box, can you also remove the part with the smaller stainless steel plate to the left of the needle?
Great review!
Will this machine sew lightweight fabrics without any problems?
absolutely! I've sewn everything from satin and silk all the way up to wool and denim on this machine and its all been great

Hello,
Can u pls share ur opinion between this one and the 4452?
I use it mostly to sew hard fabrics. Horse blankets with many layers and strong trims( heavier than a backpack or sleeping bag).
Thank u for reading
And do u have anything on the 6700(US)?
Does it do lower case letter???
is it for all kind of fabrics also silk, organza, tulle and fur?
Absolutely!
I just recently got this machine, was working great!! Then all of a sudden my stitches seem to be all loose, backstitching is horrible looking and I can’t for the life of me figure it out! Singers website is not much help either 😅

How do you think it would do sewing multiple layers of webbing?
I think it would do fine as long as you use a heavy enough gauge needle
Hi, I am thinking about getting this machine. You said it is also doing good on lighter fabric right? Because I do have some experience in sewing but it would be the only machine I have in my home. The old one sadly is useless by now. So my question is would this singer machine work as an only sewing machine? :D
Hi! This definitely an all around sewing machine, I sew all garments on it regardless of weight of fabric ☺️
Are you still happy with this machine?
I have singer heavy duty 4423 and I am thinking of upgrading (my daughter's machine broke so she will get my singer and I am planning to get something a bit better). I sew a lot, mainly knit fabrics but I do own an overlocker.
prevod
Definitely, its a fantastic machine and I would 100% recommend it
Hi There
I just got the same sewing machine and everytime I press on the reverse stitch button it keeps sewing as normal and doesn’t do a reverse stitch with straight stitching. Do you have any idea what I’m doing wrong?
Hi! I hope you are having a great time with your new machine ☺️ Have you tried holding the button down for it to do the reverse stitch?
Is this model sold in the US or UK? I saw the 6700C on US Singer website but seeing 6705C review sounds 👍 for me; just wondering about the denim needle you mentioned not going in and it is for sewing jeans/denim fabric that I'm considering the Singer heavy duty.

The US Singer model is 6800C at around $399.00.

I thought you were about to say deeply deeply disappointed😅
I am very disappointed with this machine. 18 months in and something with the motherboard has gone. Took it to my local repair person and said the machine would cost more to have it repaired. 😢😢😢
get in touch with Singer - the machine has a warranty and they'll sort it directly.
so sorry you've had this experience! Definitely get in touch with the team at Singer who will be able to sort it for you within your warranty
