I hate to say it, but when Mike Nesmith begins to sing solo at 2:24 then it becomes evident he is an old man past his prime trying to sing. I don't blame him at all, because age gets to us all at some point. Regardless, I'm still a big Monkee's fan and always will be. Now, having said all this, I still honestly enjoyed listening to this song ... even though their voices are not young and perfect as they once were.
