Can I ask what rotary tool and attachments you are using here? Never even thought of a pedal so thank you for the tip :) would love to see more videos like this.
It's the cheapest one they had in a local hardware store - and the attachments you see in the video are just an abrasive nylon wheel for sanding, and a felt tip for polishing things :)
Just came across your video after about 2 days of searching youtube to find out if i can use a foot pedal with my dremel and there is videos but nothing that actually shows it working so i just wanted to say thank you and great video you have given me the confidence to get one instead of spending an obscene amount of money on something like a foredom as i very nearly did. yours was the last video i planned on watching before giving in. So again thank you very much for your video.
Okay you have me convinced. I want to begin somewhere with electronics, and I think after learning the basics, this would be a nice and useful first project !
Thanks for the tip! I am a software engineer with some embedded programming experience. Cosplay seems like a cool hobby for me to get into, and I will definitely take a look at adding this to my new home office.
I've been looking for a video just like this but do you have a link for like eBay or something to where I can buy the exact foot pedal cuz that's what I've been trying to find
Never even thought about using it for more than my Chinese Foredom copy. I'm building a glass cutter now and need a heat control switch for nichrome wire, perhaps this will work.
bro can you try it with a black and decker angle grinder? mine has a power outage protection so it switches off at a certain voltage, it did not work with a dimmer for example (didnt start)
Actually, I have a box where I keep identical pedals. They came with some of my pendant motors. Compared to a genuine Foredom pedal, the Chinese one offers poor control.
Wanted to add I have a video on the electric switch and how it works. I also show how to finetune the spring to give you so much more control it's like night and day. The electric board cuts of about 2/3 into the movement than it runs full-on. (you can get the switch itself for about 14bucks) ruclips.net/video/ATMyfOkyufI/видео.html Thank you!

Great job on the video buddy
zibartas, your ideas can be very usful to upgrade any existing production
Wow i never considered, or knew about this :O thank you for sharing!
Ohhhh that is really nifty!
It's really one of those things a lot of people don't think about!
@@Zibartas it's really convenient. I'm always fumbling to turn off the dremel or heat gun.
Sometimes it ends up destroying something in the vicinity

Thank you!
When will you make Tesla Coil ? You can do a lot of cool stuff with that thing!
That's super cool, thanks for sharing

Thank you good stuff !
I use one even for my chop saw.
Can we you's this in a DC cercut
For 1300W ok ?
🟦 The FCT-1 foot pedal is only capable of handling 4-amps!...if you use it with a heat gun of 1000 to 1500 watts you will burn out the pedal.
100%. Do not try to foot-control a washing machine, welder, lathe, etc.! :D
