I can hear Jack's problem from his hearing. I think you should look at Arduino with a huge community of diverse projects, I think the solution is to his problem of his hearing there you have several projects on RUclips. Everything revolves around sensors on your sailboat and arduino is based on that.
When asking for subscriptions it is worth mentioning that it is free. When people see 'subscribe' they can think that there is a cost involved. Love the boat and definitely the right choice.
We agree about the sounds of a boat. We know all of Salty Lass's little noises and we think of them as her voice. She never stops talking to us and I am sure your boat will be the same for you. Enjoy and congrats!

Congrats guys! I know there are people here who make comments about Jack and safety, but I grew up on boats in Florida. There wasn't anything me and my younger sister couldn't do on my family's or family friends' yatchs. When we are around them all the time, it just becomes part of life. Kids learn smarter safety than the average kid, not to mention an appreciation for maintaining our boats. I think interior lights set to flash to important alarms will be helpful for Jack, if he is a light sleeper. Otherwise, maybe a smart watch could be programmed to alert/buzz to alarms, but that would mean a Wi-Fi type check of alarms on boat.

Living onboard a boat again. Wonderful. For Jack, I don’t remember right now where I saw them. There are pads that can be a mattress, or under a mattress. One was a massaging pad which could be turned on with an alarm signal I’m sure. I’d be willing to bet that if your bed started vibrating in the middle of the night you’d be up and about in no time.
Congratulations on splashing. As you clear the house any MD2B parts I might find a home for..... As for Jack, what about a wristband that gives him a tingle when their's an issue or like the patient has a fall monitors but working the other way to warn Jack. Just ideas.

Your very, very GRACIOUS showing your family's first night aboard Ocean Melody. It certainly isn't easy waking up with a camera stuck in your face. Her lines are beautiful. Reminds me of the latter 60's Herreshoff designs from Marblehead, Massachusetts (USA). Mostly, this video (editing of the launch with music) was first class in my opinion. Don't rush and enjoy your life together on board. Much appreciative from Maine where we have snow with 14 degrees Fahrenheit and ENE winds at 35 knots now.
