The video was excellent. I have been surfcasting since 1974 but have never kept a fish. I was so pleased with the way you took the picture and released the the fish. Some of these video fellas have no regard for the fish at all. You give me hope for the future of the sport. Well done!
Your age really determines whether to call it a blitz or not. This is not meant as a put down. A blitz is when a large area (1/4 mile+) of water continually boils with fish for an hour, often several hours. The school moves slowly. When you see steady splashes here and there, it's just fish busting on bait. At 75, I'm fortunate to have experienced the great blitzes of Weakfish, Blues and Stripers of the 70s thru 90s. You young guys are doing great job totally respecting the resource. I hope the stocks rebound so you can experience a truly epic blitz too.
Jesus. Epic is right. Curious... why aren't you keeping one of those? Not sure what it's like in NJ, but up here in NH the slot is 28-31. Nice vid, thanks.
No beaches are empty here now, but fish could still be around but you have to work for them now not like late October or November. looks like he started on 13th ave seaside Park and ended up on Hiering Ave in seaside heights on the ortley boarder.
@@saltwater210 bout damn time they moved on from jersey, were finally starting to see some big fish show up in the Chesapeake right as our season closes
@@GeorgeTyds yes the stripers were slow moving this year and I think the warm water and temps played a part in that. I'll still be on the beach til January because with stripers you never know....good luck to you
Thank you so much for your videos! I had a misfortune, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I also created a channel and am trying to move in that direction, but so far not very successful((kuz
keep those bass out of the sand, boys. this is the face of recreational catch and release mortality. a few of those fish probably get caught 2-3 times a day on a day like that.

Wide open bite, yet still throwing plugs with double treble hooks. Fish bleeding hard on the release. What a joke catch and release is when people fish like this. You got your 8000 views so I guess its worth it

Yo Dillion nice work. Maybe consider putting the date you were out there in the description from now on so we know🤙🏽

That's what this was. 4+ mile stretch of frothing bass riding the waves onto the beach.
@@brendanks I did write my comment before I watched the end. Yep - I would call the bass right on the beach a blitz.
You’re not kidding. Back in the 70s and 80s it was rare that I got skunked. Now it seems much more common. Still a good bite on this video
Great quick releases! Nice work!
Another great video. Your content is always enjoyable and your passion obvious. Tight Lines!

Can anyone share the reel motion of the dimond jig when reeling it back in ? Is it just a reel in / bursts / shacks etc ? Thanks.
What teaser rigs do you use? Tsunami ?
Think I was next to you at one point that day and you took a pic for me nice fishin’ dude!
How many days ago was this? I'm in NY Rockaways. Things are really slowing down up here

Do you use any apps for getting the wind direction, swell size and anything like that? I’ve been looking for one for all the beaches on around LBI
😊 Awesome vid!!!
Man Dillon love the video keep em coming. Question the Northbar flying squid does it on come in 3 oz or is that the same weight that you have?
beautiful beach
This is mid-December?
Yeah yeah
Dillion,
Awesome video....
Is this still going on in Jersey rn?
NO - This was just before Thanksgiving. It only lasts about 2 weeks now.

Thats the dream
Whereabouts?
Seaside. There was a sign in the beginning of the video. Dillon also mentioned the wheel, a reference to the ferris wheel on the amusement pier.
Wow !
Every peewee know this was from late December

Always wanted to fish Jersey for strippers in the fall (I live in TN). When was this filmed (Sep/Oct/Nov?) Ya'll were smok'n em.
Can’t be that recent or I just suck😂😂😂
Do you and Rich (fishaholic) fish together? You sound exactly the same 😂
I am surprised you and others lay down your rods in the sand....always messes up my reels one way or the other

Spot burning is a bad thing and posting it is inexcusable. Hopefully you’ll grow out of this phase.
