The boys seemed a little unsure on how rape kits worked so I wanted to share my knowledge. Rape kits aren't used to prove or disprove an assault took place. Their sole purpose is to test for the presence of foreign DNA on the victim, which can then be used to potentially track down the perpetrator. Sometimes criminals commit a sexual assault without leaving any DNA behind, however, or the sample is too small or degraded to generate a DNA profile. This could be why Shawn thought that sometimes the kits fail. Not finding DNA doesn't mean an assault didn't occur, and finding DNA doesn't mean one definitely did occur. The kit only tells you if someone else's DNA is on the victim.

I got bed bugs when i let a family friend stay over for a few months in a guest bedroom... I thought i was losing my mind!! It was such a strange thing that kept waking me up... I finally brought a flashlight to bed and turned it on when I felt the sensation(felt like a bunch of moths taking flight on your body)... Horrified. I slept on my dining room table, with the legs wrapped with backwards duct tape until I dealt with it. Ended up spraying everything with mouthwash containing thymol and eucalyptol.
I gave birth to my son November 2022, he was solid 9lbs… Postpartum changes are so tough mentally and physically. I wish society would put less pressure on women to lose the “baby weight”. I really liked your guys take on that story! Made me feel a bit better about my post pregnancy mom-bod 😅
I agree! Had my baby in 2020 and I’ve gained even more weight almost 3 yrs after and I’m so done with ppl always calling me a “pig” or how big I am when they’re all aware that I gave birth. Esp since a lot of those comments come from the mom of my partner 🥲
When I was a child someone brought bed bugs into our house and non of the adults did anything to get rid of them because it was too much money and effort. We lived four years with them and only got rid of them because we were getting sick. Some (me, my two sisters, my father, is now ex, her nephew and most of her family before they moved out) weren't, effected just got bit. I was on a cloudy autopilot where I barely remembered if I even ate that day. I thought it was just depression, which was half right, it was made worse because of the bugs. My father's now ex had black out spells where she would collapse, we thought was from her past life style of hard core drugs only to find out it was the bed bugs. So many people didn't realize anything was wrong because we all just seemed tired and were still our usual selves
Bed bugs are brutal. They're not fun. They're persistent little fuckers that will hunt you down in your own home. I had them & I had to store the majority of my stuff in airtight containers & bags for a year and a half.
Having the boys talk about weight and how everyone’s different is so nice. As someone who has struggled with eating disorders all their life it’s always nice to hear people say the only important thing is that the person is happy with their body. I’m very short, 4’11 to be exact, and I’m heavy. I’m around 163 pounds. But despite that. I’m very strong. I have a pouch and thick thighs but people are always amazed when I tell them my weight. It’s because of how much of it is muscle. I work at a greenhouse and lift soil for a living. I’m tiny, but very mighty
30:15 I went to the Dr today for my 6 week after birth checkup. And the nurse came up to me, holding my crying baby, and asked if I was pregnant or post-natal. 😳😳 I laughed. I couldn’t say anything. And my husband spoke up and said post natal. But, seriously?! He’s 6 weeks old, he’s crying in my arms. Seriously?!
In story 2 i thought a weird detail was when she didnt remember getting to a restaurant, but then regained consciousness in a restaurant and both her and bf's car were outside (implying they came from separate places)
Makes me wonder if her apartment might have other issues as well but either way its fucked that she can't remember several times where they had sex, like even if none of it was his fault thats still got to be traumatizing
And if they do it should be brought up professionally and respectfully like any other potential factors to health like smoking, sex life ect. Not with an expectation for the person to lose or gain weight to receive empathetic and thorough care.
I have questions about the bedbugs. First, why would they only bite her thighs? Second, if she has bedbugs and spends time at her bf's (and he spends time at her home), wouldn't he also have them?
I've always been thin and lost some weight last fall while I was just starting paddle boarding, and i was so excited to gain muscle from it. A few weeks after doing it my coworkers started commenting that i looked too skinny. Destroyed my confidence
I do have to disagree with John at least a little on how sex while one person is asleep is r*pe in "every sense of the word". I have a friend who likes somno. Ie sex while she is asleep. The difference is that in her case it is consentual.
