      @@daveamalfitano179 Don't follow their advice. You have to put each piece up one by one. You need scaffolding and ladders.

    how many bolts between arches and do they have to be full tighten once or at the end? you have to hold the nut to screw it?
    Is this 16h? I'm looking to build a 20x50x16h 18ga with two fearless agile street helpers. I will be on the ground doing whatever I can. How many days would you say it will take?

    • @metalprobuildings
      @metalprobuildings  3 года назад +2

      For that size quonset hut, we would estimate 3 to 4 days. The number of bolts between arches, the amount of tightness in the nut and bolt system, and other details about the building process are all explicitly outlined and shown in our building manual (included with all our quonset hut kits).
      If you have more questions, head over to our websites' livechat, and an engineer or specialist will be happy to help, wishing you all the best. 😀

      @@metalprobuildings possible to get R-30 insulation value inside this building type? I've seen an approach of getting longer bolts for securing furring's. I have this idea of securing PVC furring's and wedging in R-30 Rockwool (7.5inch thick), then taping on a vapor barrier on the inside, followed by screwing on 1/4 inch wood panels as the finish. Wonder if possible to pass Florida primary dwelling building codes this way? I spoke the county and they said no issue with aesthetics, interior open concept or not having windows on the side. I just need to get an engineer to build plans and sign that it will meet structural, wind and energy. Looking for a Florida Engineer willing to take this on.

    As if, how do you proper stand up each segment wihout it collapsing and twisting due to the forces being out on it from gravity and rigging

    The video doesn't show pouring concrete in the center. Is the concrete poured in two steps? Once for the outside keyway and once for the center after the keyway section dries?

    • @northeasterndirtandpropert7974
      @northeasterndirtandpropert7974 3 года назад +3

      This method is by far the most expensive when it comes to pouring.This is a 2 pour setup.A MONOLITHIC one pour,footer and floor all in one is the way to go.

      @@northeasterndirtandpropert7974 I spoke with them about this and they are planning on doing an animation with a turned down slab. I think it is the way to go also.

    Where does the rain water go when runs down the sides? Seems like it will just get trapped in the recessed area that the arches are anchored to.

    • @jeremytobin3633
      @jeremytobin3633 Год назад

      You fill the recess with mortar after the arches are in place. They sell an industrial base that mounts on top of the concrete that works better.

    Can you pour concrete after the building is erected?

    • @user-vr4gq4pt8p
      @user-vr4gq4pt8p 4 месяца назад

      not if you want the building anchored to the concrete.

      @metalprobuildings  3 года назад

      Hey there Peter! In order to give you a price, we need to know the location of the building to ensure the building permit gets approved and that it passes all the standards in that area. Head over to our website metalprobuildings.com/ and try our project estimator or fill out one of the many forms to get an exact quote. Hope to hear from you soon! :)

    This is the most ridiculous video I've ever seen. Those arches do NOT go up that easy. They are crazy heavy, are not secured on the pivot and twist and turn.
