    Thank you for bleeding on this, it will not have been in vein, this is exactly the kind of video I was looking for as I have been wanting to raise my covered trailer’s roof 6 inches, and now thanks to you video I can work out my steps. Thanks for a great video.

    Thanks for the video. I just had my 6x12 roof trashed by a rotted tree that fell on it. Never liked the 6' roof height as I'm 6' 1" also. I'm going to convert mine into a camping/hunting trailer and raise the roof also. It was originally my contactor tool trailer. Great idea on raising the roof!

    I would use TPO termination bar along the seam horizontally. Would look nice and take out some of the waves in the metal as well as provide a place to seal it.

    Okay....I KNEW it could be done. But now......could it be done like a popup with clear sheeting? I have a picture in my head!

    • @wrongwaygarage
      @wrongwaygarage  8 месяцев назад

      Of course it can. Anything is possible. You would need 4 actuators and a totally different design, but it CAN be done. 👍🏻

    • @wrongwaygarage
      @wrongwaygarage  8 месяцев назад

      That is if you want it to pop up. If it doesn’t need to pop up then just use plexiglass/lexan instead of metal. 👍🏻

    Hey! Thanks for the , exactly what i was looking for,
    I want to raise m'y cargo trailer 16 inches.
    Now m'y question is to maximise the strengt of the New structure, how important is IT where i Cut the existant structure? I Sée you have Cut IT quite close to the Roof?
    Let me know
    Thanks

    • @wrongwaygarage
      @wrongwaygarage  Год назад

      In my opinion, which can be taken with a grain of salt, you want to make your cut line at the top or the bottom. You do not want to do it in the middle. That being said, if you do your cut line at the top, then it will make it easier to lift the roof with minimal complications. You just need to weld in a piece of metal in each corner to guide the roof on the way upward.✌🏻

      Honestly, I don’t remember exactly. I think I spent about 3 days on it actually working. A lot of planning and preparation went into it in advance though. Also, I work 3 jobs.
