it is that simple. doesn't mean its easy to make a good one. but that was their life, not playing music, but writing music. of course they became very skilled at it
Sir Paul is a musical genius. Him a John were such a fantastic songwriting duo. In my opinion, The Beatles are still the best band ever! So many songs resonate with me 😊✊🏼🙏🏼💛
I’ve been to two of Paul’s concert Washington DC. I’m from Maryland. I never got to see the Beatles and I all ways dreamed of seeing Paul in concert. So one Mother’s Day my kids got me two tickets to see him. I took my friend Cass and we both felt like teenagers again. Then two years later my son Eric got me two tickets to see Paul and again my friend Cass and I went like two teenagers. He’s so darn good and gives you your money worth. I have loved him since I was nine years old and I’m 69 now. He gets better with age. Love you Paul ❤❤❤❤
John and Paul were meant to meet. They both lost their mum at a young age, they loved music, it was kismet. They were friends and you can hear it Paul's stories.
He represents the "Type" that lives a long and happy life, whether he had millions or not. He has a very matter of fact and relaxed demeanor and you can tell that he doesn't let things bother him. If everyone was like this, there would be a lot less pain in the world.
I saw Paul in an outdoor concert, out side of Chicago. Six months latter, I got Egypt Station delivered to my house. It came for free, with the purchase of the concert ticket. Rock on Paul! Sing along: " I just want to Know you, Can't you hear my plea, Just like in Bible days, Bib-lick-Lee."
I got the same cd and I was like, "Wow, who/what rock star does this?!!!" I loved getting it!! It was so nice of Paul to "give back" as they say......WE LOVE YOU, PAUL!! ....YEAH, YEAH, YEAHHHHH!! :-)
Watch Paul McCartney on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden.. I think he is the most genuine, generous, and. . .Paul, than at any time previously. This interview is great but Paul returns to Liverpool and we see Penny Lane and the barbershop. Epic!
I would have loved to see John and Howard talking lol...that would've been brilliant 👍🏻💯 but john coming in on the piano is just uncanny. Smh...he was a genius. So are the 3
Love that he asked if the lyrics or music was written first and interesting to see Paul does it same time same time. Even though it's just music for myself, I've written music and put lyrics over it, lyrics and made music for it, and same same. Love that question :)
A lot of good stuff here. Where I am truly amazed is, Paul is going on tour at age 76 years young! Back in their heyday, he was known as the "Bouncy Beatle". He is as energetic today as he was "Yesterday".
Welhy Nole I think anyone in Paul's presence would be nervous even though he's interviewed him several times before- but maybe not. Howard's interviewed many of the A list so there shouldn't be any apprehension. He did later state that, regarding his top interview per his new book Howard Stern Comes Again, that there was something about their interview that maybe he felt it was forced. I guess the best way to understand that is hearjng him interview Conan.
John's solo stuff (besides a few here and there, like "Imagine" and "Jealous Guy" are brilliant IMO) was mostly too avant garde without Paul's commercial sense, and Paul's solo stuff (again, some gems here and there) were kind of flat without John's original mind in there.
No Paul was fine without John. Yes it would have been better for them to combine their minds but Paul was great by himself. RAM, Band on the Run, Flaming Pie, and Chaos and Creation are all great albums from beginning to end. After that he has many albums that are a rung or two beneath that level. I would say that is way more than just "some gems here and there". Also John's solo stuff wasn't avant-garde at all.
Nah, a lot of their 70s albums are better than half of The Beatles stuff. I don't think you've actually listened to full albums because you would know most of John's stuff wasn't avant garde and Paul had plenty of rockers.
The band members complemented each other so well. They would add their own little nuances and touches to the compositions and make them truly stick out. John, Paul and George are some of the all-time great musicians, but it's no coincidence that none of their solo albums ever reached the same heights as any of the Beatles albums (except for All Things Must Pass).
Jesus knockin' at the door, Jesus is ringin' the bell, do yeself a favor open the door and let'im in. yeah yeah, let'im in. Peace and Love my fellow Beatle's fanatics. I just recently got up the nerve to text my first comment, and of course it was Beatle's related. I've been just overjoyed reading all of your thoughts and memories about the greatest four young lads and band on the planet. I'm old school and was not a fan of technology. I only started texting 3 yrs ago when an old band mate texted me one night, and we started getting together, reminiscing about the 70's and especially The Beatle's and his younger brother who died in 2011. He was only 56 same age as me. Then he died last year on his birthday at 70. Any way what a wonderful and Magical Mistery Life it's been. We've been truely blessed.
The most important thing I wanted to tell all of you, there's a new book out by Pastor Gregg Laurie entitled - Lennon - Dylan - Alice and JESUS POPPED UP the other night snatched my attention went and purchased it next morning, Y'all go get it I can't tell you on here it's about to go out on me again. Any way, I am convinced that according to his own words John called on Jesus for help sometime in 1977 3years before he died. I can't tell you the relief God has given me after all these years thinking he might have went in the wrong direction. But God is sooooh merciful. God knew what was ahead for John. Paul may be a believer already, I don't know and that's what makes it so hard for us as fans to not know when they do pass on from us, just like uor family's and friends. I'm sorry if I've offended anyone, go get that book and read the good news. Wouldn't it be hard to imagine Heaven with no Beatles? Pray for Paul and Ringo, thie wife's and children, and everyone everywhere.
I almost Deaf with 2 Hearing Aids. I’m not able to listen without lip reading. Please add English Captions to Paul’s Second Interview with Howard Stern. Thank you!
When Howard says it...its kind of brass and curt..................but when Paul says it, it turns into a Renoir dusk.... rowing in a canoe at half moon with owls hooting low in the branches
With all due respect to Paul I clicked on this video to see a voice impression by Dana Carvey of Paul McCartney and not here the actual Paul. We love our Paul. Bit, I've already heard him a million times when he visited my house. Could the uploader of this video super impose Dana's impression on this video ?? Thank you in advance for the change.
A professor of mine, years ago, told me that the word “fuck” is Old English, and meant “to plow a field!” When a farmer plows his field, he lays down his seed, which kind of makes sense.
For everything that Paul has done for us, and all the great music he's created, could you imagine if his bookends end up "She was just 17, you know what I mean" and "I just wanna fuh you"? It proves that for all the beautiful, highly sophisticated art that much of Paul's music is, when it comes down to it, it's still sex, drugs, and rock n roll lol!
"Don't say a word just be Jesus"
One of the best lines of the whole video
That's 2000 years to late lol
Lol I freaking lost it at that line. I was laughing for like 5 min
I had to chuckle at that one.
There was a period around 1968 John thought he was Jesus I wonder if Paul is talking about John but doesn’t want to let anyone know?
I could listen to Paul and Ringo tell Beatle stories all day long.
amen
It's crazy how after all this time living life as a star and growing old, the guy is still sharp as a whip
Leocario shiny absolutely!
My mother is younger then him and all she's done for years is sit on her butt and kill off brain cells. It's insanely unfair.
I think the all the time
Because he has had a more healthy lifestyle that you think 😅
Leocadio shiny , no disrespect but are you for real Leo shiny after all...?
I'm not gonna say "Go away, Jesus."
lol
I love the part where he says "you never know, and I'm not gonna say go away Jesus"
That made me chuckle.
Haha yea that's funny, Trump would tell him to go and call security.

Paul needs to do his own Podcast....Interesting story teller
Paul is a great guy. And he still has a young spirit.
He’s old but he keeps a young mind.
Paul: “Who are you?”
Guy: “I’m Jesus.”
Paul: “Come In.”
that sounds so sixties for some reason
Metal Maniac twist: the guy who said he was jesus was actually yoko ono.
@@bmla88 o so Paul actually broke up the beatles then 🤣
This is just amazing. Why not? So smart from Paul to be polite with Jesus.
Harrison had a similar experience in 1999, different out come
I think he only invited Jesus in so that he could get a sneaky picture of him next to John to see who was really bigger.
THIS NEEDS TO BE A FAMOUS COMMENT. MADE MY DAY 🤣
Underrated comment lmfao
best comment
Well in India John took a helicopter ride with the Maharishi thought he would tell John the word. .
Paul is the most important musician alive. I'm dreading it.... And you know what I mean
I know what you mean and I can't even imagine the loss. My heart breaks with just the thought of it. 😭😢😭😢😭😢😭😢
It's scary knowing its going to be sooner than later.
I'm with ya! I hope he lives forever! I want him to outlive me!
I know what you mean. Ringo, Dylan, Jagger, Wilson, Page, and Plant. Some of those are going to hurt like hell.
please, im still recovering from bowie 4 years on i dont think i can handle it.
“Don’t say a word and just be Jesus” 😂😂😂
"you just got some chords and you make a song"
Yeah it's that easy I guess
I was doing it all wrong lol.
it really is!
Its true, its easy, just do
It is that easy, he never said it would always be a good song though
it is that simple. doesn't mean its easy to make a good one. but that was their life, not playing music, but writing music. of course they became very skilled at it
My God, I just wanna hang out with the guy!!!
Tiffany Michelle seriously. 10 minutes.
Paul is such a sweet and kind man, I love him.
Sir paul maccartney has good and positive manners !!!

What someone once said was Paul has brought so much joy and positive energy, and singing about love. A positive force for us all. Everyone loves Paul.
I could listen to Paul talk all day. Please Paul never leave this earth.

John and Paul were meant to meet. They both lost their mum at a young age, they loved music, it was kismet. They were friends and you can hear it Paul's stories.
Gosh, how come Paul manages to be so adorable this way?

Paul is so cheeky....what an fantastic gent

The total musical package. Amazing player, singer and WHAT A WRITER. THE greatest.
HOWARD: Just wanted to say how proud and impressed I am to see how you have grown as a person👏😊
Sadly....MUCH Regression politically (=YIKES there) Silver!!....🤮
The life this guy lived ..epic
Paul is so right about his keyboardist, when I saw him live in 2009, when they played 'Let Me Roll It' and the keyboardist made it much better.
Paul is such an
amazing artist 👏👏🔝
Full respect ❤❤👍
He's a world treasure! 💜
We really need Paul to do his own podcast. It would be such a shame if he passed away with all of these awesome stories.
Amazing, Paul just casually talk about his total magic the Beatles created... like it's throw away easy..
The Beatles were so big that interviewers seem to forget that Paul was in another band and that he wrote alot of great songs for them too.
I love that he plays "A Day In the Life". I saw him at Knebworth in 1990. I think I would have cried if he had played this. Peace.
Maybe the most fascinating interview ever.
Watch Paul McCartney on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden.. I think he is the most genuine, generous, and. . .Paul, than at any time previously. This interview is great but Paul returns to Liverpool and we see Penny Lane and the barbershop. Epic!

@Lee Grant not at all. Howard is just coming off as a big fan. Paul hasnt shot him down at all.
The Jesus story is just further proof that the beatles were a product of divine intervention
I read that in the voice of Samuel L Jacksons character in Pulp Fiction 😂
I don't think they know in that studio what a privilege they have to be chatting to McCarntey.
Who?
I don’t think he realizes what a privilege it is to be talking to Stern.
McCartney
Stern is alright, he's no Paul McCartney
3:14 - I can see that conversation happening between the four of the guys.
John's solo stuff (besides a few here and there, like "Imagine" and "Jealous Guy" are brilliant IMO) was mostly too avant garde without Paul's commercial sense, and Paul's solo stuff (again, some gems here and there) were kind of flat without John's original mind in there.
So true
100% agree. Paul kept John from getting to esoteric and John got Paul to color outside the lines
No Paul was fine without John. Yes it would have been better for them to combine their minds but Paul was great by himself. I just heard Paul McCartney say bruh life complete
is there more of this interview??

Please correct the MISSPELLED NAME? McCartney, not McCarntey, in your title.
"Go Away Jesus" - Paul McCartney
Make me in tears when paul talked abt john coming over to them at the time they were making obladi o bla da song X_X

Paul McCartney even impressed himself!
