We begin our journey with “Evil” Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang after a robbery goes horribly wrong causing them to have to flee from the western town of Blackwater with federal agents and the best hunters eager to collect the bounty on their heads. The gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the heartland of America in order to survive, but as each day passes dissension within the ranks begin to tear them apart. Our protagonist will eventually have to make a choice between his own ideals and his loyalty to the gang who raised him. Will he choose the path of least resistance or strike a fatal blow?
Red Dead Redemption 2 is an upcoming Western-themed action-adventure video game developed and published by Rockstar Games. It is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26, 2018. The game is a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption, and will be the third entry in the Red Dead series. Set in 1899, it follows the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Dutch Van der Linde gang.

Low Honor Arthur’s tone and delivery makes him sound bitter and vindictive. Grade A voice acting right there
The low honor dialogue is what Arthur's feelings toward Dutch are while high honor is more of Arthur telling John to take his family and start over.
High Honor is the way to play the game man, at least the first time. You get better lines and see a better version of Arthur
LilyIsNotCool yeah my honor is completely up all the way and I feel like people just respect more and when Arthur dies they remember you better and that you were someone who had some kind of good in a outlaw but with bad honor I just feel like people don’t really appreciate and you and the dialogue is a lot different too when you have bad honor you just sound like a complete asshole
not gonna lie mine was the worst possible bc i wanted the black bandit holsters and did not have enough time before the end game to get it positive again.

4:53 When you start the game Arthur is called emotionless, didn't have feelings. And as you progress with High Honor, Arthur becomes more in touch, more sympathetic. Its especially true when you hear how hesitant Arthur is when he tells John it'll make him feel better to leave with his family.

Mr. Fall Yeah he’s much more compassionate in the high honor route. In the low honor one he’s just cold and distant.
The game definitely rewards you for being good because it’s much easier to be bad. For most. Oddly I’ve never murdered one single person in rd2

I actually find the low honor ones better. I'm glad that I won't be getting an ending I don't like with my playstyle, if you know what I'm talking about.
The dialogue in the low honor version exposes what Arthur has been thinking about Dutch at such crucial point, maybe because of his (Arthur's) own feelings of guilt, while such in the high honor seems introspective because Arthur is sad that everything is gone, yet he has already accepted it.
i think the low honor speech is WAY BETTER. Theres so much more depth from the story involved its not like 'u gotta go john its OVER >:(' instead hes like completely given up telling john how he really feels about dutch. You get to see the real arthur there at least i think so.
Jamish Mcquo 100% agree i prefer the low honor speech, especially when he says he isn't being taken for a fool anymore.
But the high honor Arthur knows that what matters is John and not his feelings towards Dutch.
Deadman I like the idea that Arthur is struggling to find what and who he’s loyal to rather than just trying to focus on johns family. John was never his main focus until the end of the last chapter where everything about the gang was clear to him.
Deadman But with the low honor, both matter to him. That’s wayyyy more complex.
Eh I liked the high honor much more, shows arthur expressing that they should be loyal to what matters and to leave the gang behind, on top of that he shows his caring side which I find nice
This scene was the most impactful for me because of the time in my life I was witnessing it. “I wish things were different… but it weren’t us who changed” I saw that the person I was loyal to wasn’t loyal to me. This game helped change life

I think it’s interesting that in my playthrough, I had the highest possible honor and I got the low honor dialogue. It doesn’t disappoint me at all tho, because seeing them side by side, I find the low honor dialogue better and more in depth in a way considering how Arthur feels about Dutch and everything that’s happened/happening

My canon route is bad honor and then high honor after the diagnosis.

I never notice the little things like this and how you can get lighter or heavier in the game. The details they put into this game is amazing.
Playing this game, was like directing your own movie. Two thumbs up Rockstar👍🏼👍🏼. And I loved seeing how things played out for John and how he came to be in RDR1

(aka the redemption series) the revolver series I believe made by Capcom but bought over by rockstar games. Just like the original max Payne series were made by remedy but published by rockstar.

lol, that's an interesting idea. I'm sure plenty of people would be down with having an entire game revolve around how Dutch put the gang together. There are mentions of how Dutch saved some of the gang members while chatting at camp fires.
i think it would be best if they started out letting you play as dutch when him and hosea founded the van der linde gang and let you control arthur after hes introduced to the gang to give some more clarity about his past at this point all we know is that at some point he was taken in by dutch and later down the line he had a son plus he met mary but thats about the size of it

@@collinkelley9906 maybe meeting Hosea is what sparks his redemption, and forming the gang is what solidifies it. only to lose it a couple of years later. then keeping with the tradition of playing as each prior protagonist, Arthur is introduced at the end of the game, and we can free roam with him.

I liked the Low honor lines, especially in this scene. Arthur sounds as distraught and confused as he probably feels. Maybe I'm biased since my honor plummeted on the first playthrough yet I still fell deeply in love with the game.

Low Honor Arthur is still focused on money, which is why he tells john to tell abigail to talk to him. He's lost hope in loyalty, in dutch, and sounds bitter and vile about it. "That's long been broken"
High Honor Arthur is focused on his friends wellbeing, the wellbeing of abigail and jack. He knows john's dream of settling down, and wants to do something good with the short life he has. "Be loyal to what matters"

You know if Arthur was able to get to a dryer climate. Like the desert around New Austin, he might have lived a little bit longer. But he couldn't he had people who depended on him. All that running around the swamp, hunting to keep everyone fed, helping those he cared about sped up the effects of the disease. He knew it too, but it had to be done. Men like Arthur Morgan and John Marston, real cowboys are dying breed. I should know, my dad was a real cowboy, and I am too. Cowboys live by an unwritten code, that very few people understand and even less have the courage and strength to follow.
Rest in peace Arthur, John, and every cowboy who lived by that code, and who died with their boots on.

daniel spell yeah that trip over there fucked him up really hit me hard when he died looking at the sun peacefully but at the end of the day that’s how he wanted to day he told Lenny and Hosea that in one of the missions
he knew his fate and used his last bit of life to save his friend
@@Lupo32 Oh it did, if you notice the symptoms of his disease didn't start to until they got deeper into the swamp. Then it got worse in Guarma, it finally hit him once he got back to swamps. It was all down hill from there. He could've lived a few more years, if he got to a dryer climate. The area where John's farm is located. Would've been perfect, going peacfully in his sleep in the Marston's home would've been nicer than dying alone on top of a mountain.

Definitely got the dialogue of "Dutch has all the money" and Abigail knowing of the stash, yet also got "but it weren't us who changed." Pretty sure my honour was high, not full, but probably about 70%
Yeah, same here. The game is very keen of your style. I had high honor via story missions but I've robbed so many trains in between it didn't matter.

I already had 100% high honor before and I got mixed dialogue. Which makes the story way more interesting.

I gave my Arthur swept back hair at level 3 and a little stubble if not level 2 beard. I feel like thats the definitive look for Arthur. Mine usually always has his hat on too.

I hate the fact you only have one chance of getting the hat john is wearing
I like that you have the freedom to play as you want and that they changed some lines of dialogue and the ending slightly but the reality is that the game kind of breaks if you go full doucher. I just finished a second play through on 0 honour and it constantly felt that the Arthur I was controlling was a different man to the one in the cutscenes. He kept saying nice things to people and risking his life just to help someone and not shooting Micah and Dutch in their faces every time they spoke.
A 0 honour Arthur breaks the story.
What if Arthur,John and Dutch or Sadie were the main switchable characters in the game like GTA 5
I’ve just started playing red dead redemption 2 and my honor is already at its lowest so now I’m restarting
You don't need to restart, you could get it up by catching and releasing fishes, or there is this quirk in the program where if you give the camp $20 at a time enough times it will increase the honor relatively quickly. Just find one of those glitches where you can get infinite amounts of money and you'll be golden.

Yes I can confirm this works. It works like a bank. I tried to find a way to save my horses but couldn't figure out a way.
Yeah, most of the side missions work for John except like one or two of them that are specifically for Arthur. They just change the dialogue to fit who it is.

Arthur high honor makes me feel more comfortable to listen and see the scene and hit me hard
I like to start off with low honor and as the TB gets worse I give him high honor cause it makes sense
I finished the game with middle-high honer(i'd say about 55-60% across the bar) and I got the good ending, but I swear when I saw this scene the other day that I saw a mixture of both of these lines. I particularly remember him talking about a good future for Jack and the "it aint us who changed" line from the high honor scene but also remember the talk about Dutch having all the money from the low honor scene. Maybe it mixes the dialogue if you're in a more grey area?
Hmm, that would be an insane amount of detail if the dialogue actually does slightly change if you are in the grey area of honor. I might have to check it out sometime just to see if there are differences.
