  • Here we take a look at the steering damper designed by Precision Racing Products. The linkage pivot design allows the damper to be used with most stock bike configurations making them very popular with professional racers. More info @ thumpertalk.co...

Precision is already really experienced in the dampener market. In the ATV market pretty much every rider runs Precision. Every GNCC and ATV MX pro does. No other brand comes close. It’s considered the first upgrade when buying an ATV. I would say ATVs it’s definitely more mandatory to have one because they handle different and have two points of contact to the ground for steering but the idea still works. Precision knows what’s up and should improve the outlook of dampeners on the bike side.

It's awesome to see a company trying to do something different 👍

"Dampening" is getting something slightly wet, "Damping" is controlling movement via mechanisms such as this. Just FYI.

Love not having to choose the dangers of above the bar mounts or raising the bars with a sub mount. Good thinkin' Precision.

Thanks. Had a Scott’s for years but hate the bar rise or it’s intrusive. Hmmm...looks like Taylor Park. Makes me ready for summer!

Cool design. I wonder if there are any reviews from somewhere that isn't getting massive ad revenue from Precision?

How big do you think Precision is? Our review is legit. We don't look to help nor hurt vendors, just share our honest experience riding w/ the product.

Every review I read/see about the precision seems to be the same scripted sales pitch. It really makes me hesitant about buying one.

Does it reduce turning radius ...concerned on tight singletrack?

Check out Barcia's bike the last 3 nationals of 2019 and tell me what brand damper he runs...

No doubt that Barcia is awesome, but one racer's choice or brand sponsorship doesn't mean there aren't competitive brands with advantages (and disadvantages). It's good to see vendors pushing designs because us riders benefit. I've had great luck with Scotts, but I'm open to trying the Precision Parabolic too. Looks like a legit offering.
