Oh, my heart. And they've not even a conductor, just 12 magnificent musicians who can each feel the music.

Epic. They don't even have a conductor. Totally committed and competent musicians.

Simply beautiful and touching. This piece pierces the heart so powerfully it makes one cry. And the cellos sound magnificently here.

I love that the cellos playing at the upper end of their register to play the violin parts are hitting the same notes as the violin but sound so much richer and resonant than the thinner and screecher tonality of the violin. Many more string orchestra pieces should just be played by a cello only ensemble. Well, OK a cello/viola ensemble might be OK since the viola also has some of the same sonority that makes the cello such a delight to listen to.
