Otis Series 2 Traction Elevators at The Hilton DeSoto Hotel, Savannah, GA

These are the Nice, Slightly Modernized Vintage Otis Autotronic Main Elevators at The Hilton DeSoto Hotel in Savannah, GA. These elevators are VERY NICE, and while the cab was renovated, and the fixtures and call stations were modded, everything else is original making this a slap on mod. These used to have the Touch Sensitive buttons or the Black Buttons originally, and yes they got modded with Series 2, but the controller, motor, and all of the non visible stuff is original. I can tell by the generator sound, relays, Door Operator Hum, and the fact these don't have Otis chimes make it obvious that these are definitely mostly original except for the fixtures. They also have the original Otis Autotronic Panel in the lobby!!!!!! I do apologize if this take was a bit crappy, but I was excited and I really wanted to ride the service elevator and get someone who works at the hotel so I could ask to ride it. The staff member at the beginning of the video let me ride it, and if you thought these elevators were awesome despite the slap on mod, wait till you see the Service Elevator!!!!! At 0:41 notice that the EPCO chime has only one ding going down, that's cool and rare but I've seen it before. And BTW, that lady....WAS JUST A SO RUDE, "ok well you need a life elevators aren't that exciting" like WTF?!?!?!!?? On the bright side she eventually realized but I mean she probably doesn't think before she says something! She is so mean!! That is a dumb and stupid 5 year old statement to make! Saying she is rude is too light, that's beyond rude. Words can't describe that because of how bad it was of her!! But still a beautiful Otis Series 2 with an ACME beep and my favourite chime, the EPCO chime! :)!

Yeah, I agree it was very rude. At least her attitude changed somewhat when i mentioned I was interested in elevators. Then she said I was an afficianado and that's different. But her get a life comment almost made me cry when filming this!!! Lol

I got a new theory. For any Otis Series mod between 0 & 6 from before 2013, put the series number then put (.M) at the end... Could make a lot more sense more then saying "Otis Series M3"... For example, Otis Series 3 mods would be Series 3.M, Series 4 mods would be Series 4.M, Series 5 mods would be Series 5.M, pre-Series 1 (black button series) would be "Series 0" *I put the quotation marks around Series 0 because Series 0 doesn't actually exist*

Floridian Elevators Series "M2" also existed in the 90s so this could be a 90s series "M2 mod"
for older Otis series mods before 2013 I would say series (1-6).M
