Boy, that sound of Sonic losing rings sounds pleasant, but I remember LOATHING that sound when playing these games. 😂
The boss battles in this one seem pretty different from the earlier games. The ‘flying through space’ bit was pretty novel!
My little head exploded the first time I finished it with all the emeralds! What an end to a game 😍 were you not into Sonic?

@@AngryDadGaming “fine” you mis-spelled awesome there Frank 🤣 my brother got a SNES after I monopolised the MegaDrive… Mario Kart is still one of my all time favourites though!
Ended the game multiple times back in the 90’s…. Very Nostalgic to me.

The Death Egg / Doomsday portion of Sonic 3 & Knuckles is a truly epic conclusion to what was undoubtedly one of the most groundbreaking games of its time
But as great as Sonic 3 & Knuckles is, 16-bit Sonic 2 is also my favourite Sonic game
I guess some games must just have the best memories associated with them, be that playing them in a certain place or with a certain friend

I get what you are saying about the controls. If you flipped the monitor it would be just as hard, but for left/right instead of the normal vertical invert only.
It's nice that Tails can just catch up when you leave him behind, haha

Yeah, the delay of the bombs falling when you reverse gravity makes it hard.
That's a lot to juggle with the spikes and only being able to hit him from the bottom!
