    One day, i hope to drive my 1995 Mustang to LMR and show my build in person. You'll see my fuel tank which holds 22.5 gallons of fuel and still looks factory.

      @@rcmustang5310 i built my mustang on a rotisserie for 6 years starting in 2013. I have a few videos, but I'm not sure they show how i did the tank. I do have a few pictures that show what i did. It starts with a Glenns performance aluminum tank.

    That fuel tank cover is some next level ricer modification lmao
    But having the option to convert the Cobra R fuel cell to a standard tank is awesome.

    Will the cover interfere with the view of IRS tailpipes?

    • @latemodelrestoration
      @latemodelrestoration  Месяц назад

      Being that rear portion of the cover is straight down instead of at an angle, it could partially block the view of IRS tail pipes. This would depend on the position of the tail pipes as every car is always a tad different. Hope this helps. -Landan

    would water pooling in the cover be an issue? ie if you are the type that occasionally power wash the underside of your car.

      Could you just drill a 1/8 hole in each corner ?

      We mention on the product page that drilling holes is optional for cars that see rainy conditions. -Landan

    Recently bought a Bondurant Mustang that had the old Fuel Safe tank with the bladder thats seen its demise. This looks to be a great fix. Is it a return style pump in this kit?

    • @latemodelrestoration
      @latemodelrestoration  Месяц назад

      The fuel tank conversion kit is for the factory returnless setup. We have two employees here at LMR that own Bondurant cars. One is the Coyote swapped '97 Cobra and the other one is just an '01 Cobra with all the original conversion stuff still in place. Whenever we can make sometime, we plan on installing the fuel tank conversion kit in to the '01 Bondurant car. There won't be a video on it, though. I'm not familiar with the fuel setup on those cars, so it'll be something I get to learn whenever our guys out in the shop can get to it. -Landan

      Technically, yes. You would have to build your own straps, though. -Landan

    This has to be a tax write off businees expense idea to cover their perosnal need. Doubt anyone wrote in asking for a fake fuel cell cover...

      I feel like most everyone they make is requested by customers or employees. Cover itself looks better then the plastic shit and looks like it serves a purpose for clones and driver friendly R models

      Thanks for the comment. We communicate with a few folks that own 2000 Rs. I know of a few cars that already have this conversion kit. Our cars needed it so we figured a few of the other 300 cars could benefit from it as well. -Landan
