Second video I’ve watched here where the emphasis on language is very key-like I’m convinced this is one of the main secrets to successful design in practice. It’s so clear now and it makes organizing presentations a lot easier! Thank you for these, I’ll scour your site for more insights focusing on articulation/language. I’m going to master this.
Thank you, Drew, I am an architecture student from a non-English speaking country and now I am studying architecture in Australia, I wanna say your videos help me a lot, and I have my final pre on this Friday, I would try my best and effort to achieve my goal :)
Thanks! Check out this video here where I presented my thesis project: Architecture Thesis Projects Part 2 (My Thesis Project) ruclips.net/video/vXeqzDzbDSw/видео.html
I must say it really made me more confidant while presenting, consequently I was welcoming their comments on my project with an open mind (I tend to be defensive at times). Thank you again.
Rawaa A. Abdulkarim Awesome! Yeah attitude goes a long way. You can really steer the conversation with the way you react to people's comments. Keep acting like its constructive and helpful, and you can sometimes even flip a juror from destructive to constructive criticism lol. (I've pulled that off at least once lol.) But if someone is defensive, Jurors will just force their point harder, and that doesn't end well for anybody. You're very welcome! That's great to hear!
Thank you. It's useful. But I have a suggestion, It will be more useful if you show us a real project hang it on the wall behind you and start to presented like if you are presenting your final project. That will be great. Thank you.
+Afra Alhassani I don't exactly have my boards anymore. But I have presented my thesis project digitally. You can see that video here: ruclips.net/video/vXeqzDzbDSw/видео.html
Hello Drew, i liked your video. However can i say instead of "i'm .... " at the opening "i have the honor to present to you my project" , cause the teacher already knows me.
even if they knw you, introducing urself is one of the key aspect of any presentation. teachers or the jury know many students and people and even if u feel like they knw u its still a better idea to give them ur name as an introduction. well there are many ways to do it the wrong way too
I'm an architecture student and this is such a brilliant video! Gives me so much direction and focus... Thank you so much! I'm a fan now! :)
