  • ICASA's recent sale of radio frequencies raised R14,4 billion for the national fiscus, but broadcasters, technical production companies, and other users of PMSE (Programme Making Special Events) equipment, such as wireless microphones, are reporting interference with existing technology. In this webinar, we speak to vendors, users and the regulator to understand the current state of play in the allocation of radio frequencies in South Africa. What can be done with legacy equipment, and how can interference be minimised in the future? How can frequencies used by the local broadcast community be protected against the seemingly insatiable demand of mobile operators?
