LifeWithBambii It was a stage musical first, and honestly, just my own opinion, I do NOT like the sound of Anna Kendrick's voice in the movie. (Haven't seen it, don't plan to, I've just heard her version of one of the songs.) I much prefer the original Cathy, Sherie Rene Scott.
+Clarabird yeah I know it was a Broadway musical. I haven't heard it quite yet but I do enjoy the movie.
LifeWithBambii That's fine, but I'd DEFINITELY check out the songs from the stage version, sung by Sherie Rene Scott, if you can find them. YT is littered with the movie version of the songs so it may be difficult. :)

I love the medley! I am completely unfamiliar with The Last Five Years. When the song switched to "Goodbye Until Tomorrow," it gave me of a Phil Collins vibe and kinda makes me want a Tarzan Medley? Song Request???

When I first saw the title for this video I thought it was about your relationship (didn't know about the musical). Then I hear Evynne sing about someone named Jamey and thought it was her singing about her last boyfriend before meeting you. I was confused all the way up till the video ended. (suppose it's my bad) Anyway I loved this it was beautiful. I really like it when the two of you sing together. It's obvious you really both like doing it.

That's exactly what I thought too when I first saw this video! Incidentally, what songs do you think exemplify the past 5 years with your relationship with Evynne, i.e. what songs would you want to put in your relationship medley?
A song from 'The Prince of Egypt' film! 'Through Heaven's Eyes', or 'Deliver Us' or 'The Plagues (Thus Saith The Lord)' or 'When You Believe' would each be GREAT songs to cover!

I know it's stupid, but if you ever considered singing a song in German (which probably won't even happen), but if you did, i would suggest 'Auf uns' ... it's a beautiful hymn to praise moments that stay in memory for all eternity. Also it kind of ended up being the worldcup anthem ^.^

Could you please do a cover of the soundtrack from How to Train Your Dragon? It's a award winning soundtrack made by the amazing John Powell and I think Dreamworks Animations needs more appreciation for the amazing work they do.

I looovvee the Last Five Years, and I was so excited to see you working on a medley a few weeks ago! The whole arrangement sounds fantastic, and there's parts of the background music in The Next Ten Minutes and Goodbye Until Tomorrow that sound like they were always meant to be a cappella. After watching the message at the end, I'm curious - what specifically was JRB's involvement?

I had the pleasure of being in the band for a production of Last Five Years, and it is still one of the most rewarding (and challenging!) musical experiences I've ever had.
