thats how tough filipino is..we can survive in any situation and we can still enjoy things regardles of how expensive or cheap it is...its always a blessing everyday.
Very good Kyle, I love to see the local culture. I have also noticed that those folks are happier than a lot of Americans with a lot of money! Keep up the great work.
no other tourist would dare to go inside in a community like this. only kulas shows what the pilipinos has aside from beautiful beach resorts and tourism spots. and he is welcomed everywhere he visits.
I've been to some remote islands, in the Polillo archipelago, where there wasn't even an electrical grid only generators. I was playing with the kids and taking photos, about 10 of them, and all they had was a broken laundry basket with a rope tied to it to pull each other around. Another girl had a doll, but it was headless and was missing limbs. They weren't sad or complaining, they were all smiles, living life and having fun. It's not about what you have, it's about how much you live.
glad to see you here, christian. hope to see you and your gf in Kyle's videos soon. I was the one who messaged you on FB about Kyle's becomingfilipino page. I really enjoy his videos :)
When I was growing up in the Philippines I remember we didn't have extravagant things or house. My single mom always tell us to be good "lagi magpakabait" and focus on our study. She always say "wala akong maipapa mana sa inyong magka kapatid kundi ang mapag aral ko lang kayo", I don't have anything to leave behind for you all, just a merely education. Now that I'm older I realized that she didn't just give us education, she taught us how to be happy. She never teach us to be materialistic. All that matters to her was keeping us all together, seeing us eating three times a day, a healthy wellbeing and most of all to be a God fearing individuals. Life in the Philippines is hard, but only for those who don't appreciate what they have. This particular video Kulas is the core values of Filipinos, be happy, live simply, love your neighbors and pray ....... a lot! Thank you Kulas! I think your next project will be bigger in either ABS-CBN or GMA, just remember always, to be continued
I love your outlook in life kulas , you see good in every situation. You are a gentle fun loving person that is why I love watching your blog. Thank you :)
Being around people who are so happy and appreciative, really rubs off. It's contagious. It makes the feeling of being in the Philippines so addictive. It is true in the United States, we work so much and equate success largely by materials. And for all we have, we are never contented, we always need more. We need the newest technology, the next I phone, 4k television, stylish Suv. We are taught so many times to look outside ourselves to find happiness.
Amen Kulas! We get sucked into this capitalist mindset and work and grind all day long here in the west. We have our nice houses and cars, nice clothes and things. Yet I see so many stressed out people. I really miss my homeland Philippines! Time just stands still in the islands diba Kulas and Kumar?! Time just stands still... Peace of mind, family, food, fun! God bless you guys and your journeys! May your guardian angels always protect and watch over you. Thank you Jesus for your inspiration in these videos!
you really did pretty well in showing what and how a pilipino culture is, compared to other youtubers...hehhehe..i'm starting to love you.. your the best for me now!!!
This was beautiful Kyle. I envy your optimism and kindness that you always share with world. I'm glad that you're presence always brings happiness to everyone you meet and I'm looking forward to more of your fascinating adventures.
i was starting watching his video 3 days ago but now i'm fanatic to him. a real pilipino helping my poor kababayan promoted my country for torista and even more.SALAMAT KULAS YOUR THE MAN.GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS KULAS I ALWAYS PRAY FOR YOU ANG YOUR FAMILY.
We are here in Dubai ...thank you so much for showing the whole world how awesome the work of Our Great God esp..my country Philippines..we love you and we pray that Our Lord Jesus will bless you and your whole family..maayong aga sa imo damo pa more..
So true. The happiness despite the difficult living situation is one of the major draws to me to the Philippines. My wife comes from Cebu City and her family has so little yet they sing, laugh and enjoy life. We Americans have a lot to learn from the Filipino people. Keep up the good work Kyle. My wife and I are planning a visit hopefully this year, if not next year. It would be great to meet up with you there. Aloha my friend.
i'm filipino and i say, definitely not only for a white but all. to all whose willing to give a smile. if your foreign and we saw you're seemed serious or showing a mad face ob course we won't bother to give smile at you. just that simple smile and greetings from you towards us is all we need for you to give our friendly nature.
I'm so touched kyle with your speech,..lump in my throat.. how I missed my family and community.. thanks a lot kyle you have better understanding and love for Filipinos..
They're living a happy life even though they're little, that's what they had is a freedom to be happy. They celebrate Ati-atihan is also a part of Filipino culture showing their love and devotion to Sto. Niño and they serve more delicious food as part of celebration for free . I am a Filipino and I am so happy of being a FIlipino but anyone can be a Filipino just like Kyle...Look at him he is becoming a FIlpino now that's why he was so happy...
Hope Philippines don't change....I even wish that our country would not grow economically because I really see the contentment in my fellow filipinos...Just I pray that at least we can eat 3 times a day and live as simple as this without stressing ourselves for making money. Just also a good education so that we can help our fellowmen especially in crisis. I think this is all because of our being religious which is believing in Jesus Christ...and having FAITH and HOPE....that makes us smile everyday... We really think that we are all brothers and sisters and all son of God.... And I hope other foreigners who only see our country as a dangerous place would see this brighter side of our country which is very beautiful...spread love from Philippines😘😘 hope other countries will find the true happiness like us for being just contented...
I have no doubt in my mind that you have truly found the filipino spirit. my friend, you have already become filipino and I am grateful and humbled at what you have discovered. Nice work brother

I've been to a lot of countries in Europe but Philippines is incomparable....Kyle "Kulas" you're a truly an inspiration to us Filipinos and possibly to other foreigners who genuinely embrace the Filipino culture..... I sometime felt emotional watching your videos, you kinda encourage me to visit places in the Philippines and enjoy what we Filipinos have in our own land......Maraming, Maraming Salamat sa iyo Kyle.....Filipinos will never forget you for giving us importance and a place in your heart and mind.....I miss HOME Thank you for that wonderful "SMILE" !!!!
I'm from Cagayan de Oro but I'm now based in Cebu. I miss the simple sinulog celebration back home. Although I get to witness the grand sinulog here in Cebu, the spirit of all the sinulog celeb is the same. Giving thanks to the child Jesus for another year of guidance and happiness. This literary translates to faith. If you have faith, no hardships can stop you from celebrating life. Thanks, Kulas. Your video made me joyful. :) Keep it up!
Beautiful vlogging Kyle, we could learn alot from the Filipinos about building community. Proves more wealth/happiniess can be achieved with less income, hard work and opening up our homes to neighbors.
Hi Kyle! We are your fellow Canadian RUclipsrs :) We are amazed that you've done such a great job with speaking in bisaya & tagalog, but feel free to check out our most recent video on Bisaya lessons (with a fun twist). You know so much already so we hope you still learning something new. If not, recommend it to your other friends. Thanks! :)
Hi Kulas, I watched all your videos and am always looking forward for new ones. I thought message below is appropriate for some of your videos "If wealth is the secret to happiness then the rich should be dancing on the streets instead simple kids do. If power insures security, then officials should walk unguarded. But instead those who live simply, sleep soundly. If beauty and fame bring ideal relationships, then celebrities should have the best marriage. BUT IT'S NOT HERE. Simplicity leads the world. Live simply, walk humbly, love genuinely..."
