- After nearly a year of exchanging fire with Hezbollah , the Israeli military has expanded its offensive.
In an intense campaign of air strikes, it targeted 1,600 sites on Monday alone.
Israel said it was hitting Hezbollah military positions, but homes and buildings across southern and eastern Lebanon were damaged, and hundreds of civilians, including children, were killed.
The armed group responded, sending hundreds of rockets into northern Israel.
Global condemnation has been quick, with growing concerns about a wider regional conflict.
So, can international pressure make a difference?

Gaza has been totally destroyed their first goal was to force the Palestinians into the Sinai desert but when Egypt blocked that Israel then proceed to destroy every single building in Gaza and tear up all electrical, water, and sewage. Gaza is no more. Israel will not allow the Palestinians to clear away the ruble which would take another fifteen years. And worse they will not allow cement into to Gaza to rebuild. So the Palestinians have a choice starve to death or leave in Gaza.
