This is one of those songs that I got a new appreciation for when I learned how to play it. It's not hard, it's just a fucking jam, it's super fun to play and it's easy enough that you can just go nuts while playing. The chorus is also super catchy and I think that's a really underrated thing about TAS in general.
Man you guys gotta check out Ingested. Their new album dropped today and is straight 🔥. The unique guest appearances by Vincent Bennett, Matt Honeycutt and especially the king Kirk Windstein himself really caught me off guard but were very welcome. Truly pioneering and redefining deathcore.
I really dug the album, thought it was solid. Crippling Poison off the album was one of my favorites besides this one. It starts off slow but then gets more up tempo and bouncy.
Y'all gotta check out "Fragments" by Jason Richardson. I think Adam will really like the guitar work. It features Luke Holland from The Word Alive on drums, Mark Holcomb from Periphery, and Lukas Magyar from Veil of Maya for vocals, and the song does not dissappoint 👍
Acacia strain has been around for 20 years. They aren’t gonna keep making continent or wormwood every album. They are doing different things and adding lots of layers. If you just want the same formula of breakdowns, there is a bunch of those mediocre metalcore bands out there. Acacia strain is doing much more complex things. It’s heavy but not in a predictable way which, imo, is boring. The whole album is great! Vincent has the best vocals on this album out of all of them I think!
And I'm with you guys I haven't really been able to dig into this album yet either. But always been intrigued. Glad to be going through this journey with you guys. Much love 🤙
