Really like the color you went with.

Thanks Thomas! When I built this I didn't have a green car, so I figured why not make it stand out? It looks really good driving around too. Thanks for watching!

Great build! Mine is stock and it is one of my most competitive buggies on my time trials. Out of the box it is a great buggy. Needs more ride height but it is a great place to start from. Thanks for sharing 🙌🏻👍🏻

I agree, but the carbon damper stays have more options for height adjustment and those tires/wheels are slightly taller. It has the same ride height as my DF-03 now. In stock form it is definitely too low. Thanks for watching!

What specific lipo battery are you using in it and how you like it ?

    • @eekrc

I use a GensAce 4000mah 2s 60c lipo in all of my Tamiya cars other than the vintage ones. They have not failed me, and the 60c gives them great punch. I totally recommend them.

Nice color looks sick!hey man I’m a bit confused maybe you would know.Tower hobbies has two plasma edges listed on there site, one is on pre order and says it comes with different decals and new body styling, have you heard anything about the plasma body changes?im confused🤔

@@L.U.C.K.Y333 One could be the Gun Metal version, it comes with a pre-printed gun metal color body, the decals have different colors too. I just looked, I don't see a difference between the pre-order one and the normal one. They are talking about this compared to the old Plasma Edge, this is the Plasma Edge 2. That's what the description means.

@@L.U.C.K.Y333 Tower Hobbies has had a lot of issues with their inventory system. I've had issues with them in the past. The one they have in stock is the same one they have on pre-order...why? Who knows lol.

Superb build with all the hob ups 👍 The Plasma Edge II was my last project, I finished one week ago. I want to change the wheels and tires as you did, but mine were too wide and rubbing against the mounts 😲Do any of you guys have a recommendation for inexpensive complete wheels tires?

Thanks! I used DF03 wheels, but I think most Tamiya wheels will fit properly, unless the offset is much different for some reason. Look at JC Racing, they are in the UK, but they make good quality Tamiya style wheels, and they sell tires/foams for very good prices. If you watched my Sand Viper build, I use JC Racing wheels...but that is 2wd. Email me with pics from your build I would love to see it! Email address is in my video.

I built a Plasma Edge II a while ago, I put on a bunch of “hop ups” (most of which were totally unnecessary) I think the the shock tower and bearing upgrades are indeed totally necessary though. I don’t particularly like the plastic gears in the differentials, but the metal ones seem a bit over priced. I used gun metal paint on mine (it was not the gun metal edition, but I liked the color) and used the Lame Flake on it. I really like the Lame Flake it adds a subtle something to the car that makes it looks that much better. I actually used it on my cars after seeing you use it on one of your builds so, thank-you. By the way, do you use the Tamiya connector on a 2s lipo battery, or did you change it out after the video? I know they won’t work with a 3s lipo, but it would make life easier for me if they could be used with a standard Tamiya plug.

I try to stay with hop ups that add some performance to the cars, but it's hard to resist sometimes isn't it. I will eventually switch it to a deans connector...but I like to run them enough to know the esc is good. As soon as you change it the warranty is done. I have an adapter I use for now. Also 👍 on the lame flake...it doesn't come across in the video, but it looks awesome with this color. Thanks for watching!

That car looks so much better in that colour, we have a Gun Metal one and I just do not like the colouring. Given me good food for thought with this 🤔

Yes! It gives it new life...the box art colors are boring. Hopefully it inspires you to make a change, I'll be waiting to see what you guys come up with. Thanks for watching!
