Nice video thanks. FAQ states "A player cannot deploy a disk pinning or overlapping an enemy disk. A player also cannot deploy a disk overlapping an enemy deployment zone. regarding that troll situation even if there wasn't other things against that situation. Also you shouldn't forget to place activation tokens after activating units.
Very nice tutorial and good explanation. Also very interesting in general. I really like the game so far. Minor critique: You use the word "stamina" when you actually mean "toughness", which wouldn't be a problem, if that word wasn't used also on the disk in relation to multiple wounds. This might be confusing. It happens to me as well that I use other words that are more comfortable or fitting in a given situation, but while explaining rules this might lead to problems or confusion. Therefore it might also be better to actually say "engagement" as stated in the rules instead of "melee". Thank You two for this video. Looking forward to part 2! I hope there are going to be some more complicated scrums, since that is still the part I struggle the most after playing the game for the first times last weekend.
I must say that one of the problems we ran into with the rules was figuring out what they meant specifically with regard to the words used for temporary wounds vs permanent wounds. It can cause confusion and we still don't always know what to call things when we play.
Ah, ok. I actually never thought about the possibility you might still be confused by the game. ^^ Everything felt very confident in the whole presentation of the rules very concise except for those two minor word swaps.
I just finished a game of Warhammer Diskwars with my dad. For each time I killed a hero, I got 5 Victory Points. He got 1 Victory Point for each of my casualties. He knocked out 5 of my characters, and because we were both learning to play the game, we were playing the learning version, so he only had 1 hero. I killed all of his men, finishing the game. He was player 1...
I have a question about those command cards because it is quite unclear how those are picked and the range I can choose them from (sorry, either I am blind or whatnot, but I could not find this said in the rulebook) 1/ I noticed some command cards look like they are only for certain army ... for example Brain Bursta looks as it is only for orks, Invocation of Nehek only for undead etc while some command cards do not have any army symbol on them (I assume that command cards that have specific army symbol on them, have no point to use them anywhere else) 2/ those cards are drawn randomly or starting player chooses them?
pankalich I am also confused about this. I think people just pick them out of the deck as usually it's Order vs Destruction so powerful cards that are race specific don't overlap.
Hi, Jason! Thanks for taking the time to voice your opinion. Of course, I'm going to disagree with you. FFG has a huge range of games - many of which are far dumber than this one (if, by "dumb" you mean "objectively bad"). One needs only take a look at the ratings on Boardgame Geek to get a sense of the overall scope of the games that FFG publishes and how many "dumb" games there are. For example, The Hobbit Card Game gets a rating of 5.453 - which puts it at the bottom of the list for games the FFG publish that are currently in print. Warhammer: Diskwars weighs in at 6.222 which makes it FAR less dumb than the Hobbit Card Game. Winter Tales, another FFG offering from 2012, also scores in the fives (2012 must have been a bad year). Dust Warfare (one of my favorites) gets a 5.887. Maybe I just like dumb games. Still, a 6.222 in the grand scheme is pretty good. One might even say it's not dumb - perhaps a bit dim, but not dumb. BTW - I'll be doing a POGS battle report next week! Keep an eye out.
LOL sorry I wasnt yelling at you guys I just...I dont know why this game infuriates me. But if you guys like it...all the better I just know its not my cup of tea. And I play a LOT of their stuff but this one just boggles my mind
Have you actually played it? Because I have. And it's actually a lot of fun. it scratches that Warhammer itch without requiring that you spend half a million dollars on lead minis.
@@JosefFerguson exactly! I, for one, love this game. It's got really good depth without requiring the textbook rules deep dive of the minis game, and WAY more forgiving price point. And of course, that sweet Warhammer flavor 😋
Nice video thanks.

This is an excellent walktrough tutorial, mate:). Thanks for it:). Can't wait for cecond part.

Great video. Just what I was looking for to understand more about this game. When can we expect part II?
This weekend. Just need to find the time to finish editing.
A most excellent video. Subscribed!

If you kill ALL disks, automatically WIN the game, whatever was the first player!
a question, is it correct to remove all damage inflicted on troops at the end of turn?

So instead of miniatures you use cardboard disks with pictures of units and heroes.
that's pretty much correct.
Good Game
Kairos OP.
This is by far the dumbest game FFG makes. What a waste of time and resources. Why not just play POGS while you are at it

No worries, man. I know it's not everybody's cup of tea.
