This song is about Unity and the destruction of the Berlin Wall…..beautiful
Great reaction!! This song is awesome, about tearing down the wall, dividing East and West Germany.
thnak u again brother
👏👏👏powerfull
Pretty emotional for a lot of people when it came out, considering the major world changes that were occurring. For people growing up in the cold war and the constant threat of MAD, the change was very welcomed.
yea i figured that much
A select few songs capture a moment in time. This is one of them. The feeling of unification of Germany was incredibly powerful for them, but it also signaled a hopeful change for all of Europe. Scorpions are probably the most famous German band (maybe Kraftwerk second) and it was only appropriate they do something like this.
One of the things that I miss the most about my Dad, is the way he whistled.
This version is on the bottom of the list. The official video version is the only one that should ever be played. It does the meaning of this powerful song no justice or respect
Holiday or the zoo or can't live without you next please 🙏 awesome reaction bro!
Noted!
My man ! Skindred, rat race ! 👌👌 it's your new favourite band! From whales 👏
You have to check out No one like You and The Zoo.
This was written when the Berlin Wall came down. Scorpions are a German group. I remember that time. We (USA)had defeated the evil empire that was the USSR and there would finally be some sort of peace. Now look where we are, with this stupid Russia, but we are about to crush that evil empire again. Hopefully this time for good. This time we are doing it through the brave Ukrainians fighting for the lives, freedom and country. Which, by the way, this song means a lot to them as they were finally free (so they thought)! It’s deep!
yea thats deeppppp
I think my comment got spam-blocked because I included a link, but there's a strong rumor that the song was influenced, if not written, by the CIA. A New Yorker reporter took time off to dig really deep into it because he'd heard it ten years ago and couldn't stop thinking about it. The podcast is called "Wind of Change".
He doesn't find anything conclusive but it was a very fun podcast to listen to.
yea probably did get blocked but thats good info i will have to check that out
If so probably the best thing the CIA ever did.
Brother I am waiting for steelheart- she is gone.
2nd best german band aftter Rammstein
If you want another song of hope that brings people together, check out Matisyahu’s One Day, but make sure it’s this version: ruclips.net/video/RjPpMXMjIj0/видео.html
