@@ElizabethWheatly Thank you as well for the lovely comment and encouragement, it really means a lot!🥰❤️ Advertising is a bit scary and not always a success but it can’t hurt.
You can write a great book, and it might not find an agent or a traditional publisher. Doesn't mean you are a good writer or a bad writer. It just means your manuscript did not fall on the right desk at the right time. I spent a few years trying to go the traditional publication route. Eventually, I gave up and went the self-published route because I still had a story to tell. I have published two novels. At the end of the day, it comes down to what you aspire to. If you want your book in bookstores, submitted for prestigious prizes, and some help in marketing, then traditional route is the way to go. If you are happy writing the book you want to read, marketing it yourself, and getting it out in the world, then self-publishing might be the way. I hope you keep up your writing, stay positive, and find a way to readers.
Hello and thank you so much for taking the time to reply, I wasn't expecting anyone to comment. You're right about self-publishing, I suppose you have more control over the entire process although that route also comes with its own issues. If you don't have an online presence or a platform that might give you a boost in terms of exposure for your book, it can be just as daunting as traditional publishing. I like what you said about a manuscript not falling on the right desk at the same time, sometimes that's all it takes. And congratulations on self-publishing two books, I'm sure that must have been a lot of work, that's truly admirable. Thank you for the encouragement and the comment and hope to see you here again. Have a lovely day!💜
@@Lethalium You are right that the self-publishing route can be just as, or even more, daunting than traditional publishing. My books don't get much exposure. They have been read by a few people, most of whom have given them 4 and 5 stars. But, for me, that's okay. I write for myself. I have books I want to read that have not been written. So, I write them. If others can find them (buried in the Amazon algorithm not helped much by my lack of a significant platform) and they appeal to their literary sweet spot, all the better.
@@sandbagger1912 Thank you for telling me about your experience, it's not often I come across other struggling authors. While you think that your books don't get much exposure yet, I'm sure they will in the future. Let me know the title of your books, I'll check them out as well. Wishing you a lovely day!
Thanks for this cool video 😁, all that’s left to do is advertise it
