As a Norwegian, I am very sad😭 Finally we send something unique and in our own language and it does so poorly. I really hope this is not taken as a sign by Norwegian artists that they have to send something in English to be successful
victims of an insanely high quality of talent this year.. Which makes it all the more horrifying that Joost got booted over bullshit, while the Israeli delegation were verbal harassing other delegations/artists and got away with it completely. THEY FUCKING BETTER DAMN WELL GET RID OF MOROCCAN OIL as a sponsor, because you know damn wel lthat was the biggest reeason Israel wasnt banned.

@@Olivier-GM The "Overthinking it" channel does some awards you can vote in, including the 'Fulenn of the year award' & i voted for Norway & hope others will do as well.
I do think that thanks to the shenanigans of _that_ country people felt they had to vote for a possible winner, instead of what they really liked, so you can blame the low vote on the top hovering everything up, just to make sure that _that_ country didn't win...

UK jury placed France 20th, while the Australian placed them 26th, beyond ridiculous and I’m not even French.
I’m really happy for Nemo. Sad for Croatia because I would have love them to have their first victory but congrats !
I feel the same so happy for Nemo love the song and performance but it would have been amazing for Croatia to have their first win
Nemo didn't just break the Code but broke the throphy, a thumb and the record for most 12 points ever received by the jury (22 times)
I was on the Croatia hype train too but as Alexander Rybak used to sing 'I'm in love with a fairytale even though it hurts' and that's what happened. Anyway congrats to Nemo. Sorry for all the Eurovision youtubers need to start saving money now to go to Switzerland next year 😂

The right result - so glad the artistry and insane ability of Nemo was rewarded with the win after earlier in the day they won 2 out of the 3 Marcel Bezencon awards, plus finished top of the ESC scoreboard app!

He's killing it in the charts: UK-37 (third highest eursong) , Ireland-22 (second highest entry) Germany -13 (Highest entry) Netherlands-1 (well duh) Belgium-1 (duh again) Finland-2 (Highest entry) New Zealand (of all places)-17 (highest eurosong entry, only Nemo made it at 29) Greece 66 (worst charting country) Norway-17 (second highest entry) Sweden-4 (Highest entry) Lithuania-1 (Highest entry obv)
He's also the highest charting artist on the Global Digital charts @33 (which is absolutely insane for a Dutch song)

Delighted for Cro, Swithz, Ukr, Italy and France etc great songs.
Admittingly Ireland was the best performance I ever seen in Eurovision - - -as it was not the catchiest song.
Croatia grew as my favourite and I was really rooting for them, so I'm a bit disappointed 😅 Still happy for Switzerland, Ukraine and Portugal - they were all in my Top 10 - and finally Germany didn't come last! 🎉 I was expecting a better result by Norway but I understand it can be a strange song for Eurovision

Aside from the Joost drama, which still has ruined my ability to be (fully) happy about the results, I do have to give the happiness that remains towards Nemo winning, and Croatia getting 2nd place! I’m proud of them both! Also Ukraine 3rd is I guess the best I could’ve hoped for, even though I was really rooting for them to win. Also Germany getting 12th is epic and I’m so happy for Isaak!
Joost told us that we would be proud of him at the end of the road. We are Joost, you launched us back to the top of the odds after a bad time in the contest. The EBU stopt you, but we know you wouldn’t have stopped if they just asked you. You brought back a proud Dutch music genre and showed the world the more fun side of the Dutch! You won in our hearts, and the EBU can go f*ck themselves.

@@zb6070 Because of that stupid opening up of the votes before the contest has even started & allowing the rest of the world to vote.
Isn'treal has been placing ADVERTISEMENTS all over the place including in the US to get people to like them(we're such a poor poor victim, vote for us please) & instructed the friends of .. all over the world to vote for them.
So those votes didn't come from people watching the contest, they came from people who had NEVER watched, just did as they were told because they (wrongly) believed it would help in the war effort.
Oh & some very right wing groups that HATE what Eurovision is. See the Dutch vote. Normal Dutch viewers didn't vote in this final thanks to KAN harassing Joost.
Agree way more with public vote. But happy with Switzerland winning in general. Ukraine was my fav!

This year I chosed to take a chance and watch the RTE feed, rather than my typical SVT, although everytime RTE went to commercial I swapped over, and didnt miss any of the hilarious hijinks Edward af Sillen dreamed up

He should have been thankful. Without his elemination, he would have lost approximate 70 points.
Actually, I think Martin Österdahls voice was so drowned out by the booing of the audience that it took the Swiss some time to realise they got the 12 points. The booing was loud enough on TV; it must have been a lot worse in the arena.

If the soberness was a result of their feelings about the disqualification of Joost, then Nemo was right.
They weren't the only artist that had those feelings, during the Greek celebrations for getting 12 points, one of the dancers lifted his shirt & Joost was written on his abdomen.
If it was because of the noise in the arena, then Nemo couldn't have helped it. I'm incredibly happy that the fans were so vocal about Joost's DQ.

CONGRATS TO IRELAND! Bambie Thug was absolutely phenomenal, shows that taking a risk CAN pay off massively. also very happy with Nemo as the winner, they were my second favourite entry this year (after my dear, robbed Gåte).
I feel kind of bad for saying this, but I said from the start this would happen to Norway. Borderline Q and right side if we Q'd. People laughed at me or told me off, but I always trusted my own instinct. We got what we deserved tbh, we just don't pick the right entries and a HoD change is needed to figure out our jury problem.

Jury again won Eurovision 🥱😮💨. Sweese❤, but why we voting🤔🤷?
I am relieved Israel didn’t win and SOOO happy for BL and Croatia, getting their best result since 1999. There was only 50 points in it! HOWEVER, I still feel like the best outcome could have occurred:
_Problems with the televote:_
-First of all, the large televote for Israel could have been avoided if centre-right commentators and the media had not reported on Israel’s political side or hyped up Eden as some sort of ‘crusade against the weird Eurovision community’. The televote comes from mainly countries with Jews in the cities e.g. London, but also a casual right wing audience influenced by commentators to dip in and vote at the beginning of the show or after Eden’s performance. I think the new rule about voting before the songs led to people politically dumping votes for Israel at the start without watching, or because of the running order, Eden performed too soon to when people tuned in.
If the televote for Israel had been reduced, most of it would have gone to Croatia and Croatia’s televote would have been MASSIVE. This is because Croatia are normally supported by more conservative countries and their song despite being high energy, did not feature any of gayness/nudity/progressiveness that put people off other countries.
-For some reason, Ukraine got a massive score. I mean, they deserved better with the juries but I wasn’t expecting this! The sympathy vote came back it seems but they genuinely DID have a good song! By the end, I was so confused with the amount of countries that got between 200 and 300 points!
_Problems with the jury_
-Secondly, the problem with the Jury. They gave Eden enough points I feel to stop an Israeli victory, but instead dumped points into Switzerland. Part of this is the appeal of the song and the vocals as well as the performer being NB. However, there are other reasons:
1) Money. Switzerland are one of the wealthiest countries with large banks of golden bars literally sitting in their nation. They could have used their money to influence the EBU and the juries as way to counteract Israel.
2) During the jury show, Slimane, the predicted 2nd placer for the jury vote, did not perform as well. As a result, the jury result for France was muted quite a bit and France did not receive as many 12s. Instead, a lot of their points were eaten by Switzerland and so you had this Loreen effect where the Code got ahead of everyone by a lot early.
-The jury did not spread their points out much in the end. Everyone got points from them but the ‘commerciality’ criteria for juries was largely ignored. The UK, Georgia and several other poppy songs could have been given higher scores by the juries, especially to compensate their expected yet still shocking televote scores.
-The juries made it impossible for anyone to catch up with them but Croatia was in a 50 point margin of them.
*Overall, I’d say the juries don’t need to be eliminated, but their power reduced a little. Give them 40%.*
Ukraine didn’t get sympathy votes. It’s a powerfull song, beautiful vocals, unique vocals? Beautiful memorable melody, and excellent staging. I switched between croatia and Ukraine on my first but ended up with croatia as my number 1,
Just saying, it would have gotten a lot of points even years sgo before the war.
I feel bad for Croatia. It was clear the juries tried to snipe Israel because they knew it would do well in the televote and Croatia ended up being collateral damage

I am pretty moody after the bad result of my favourite song, Ulveham. And the way the mentioned country couped the voting and everybody else voted tactically to stop the coup, has added to my bad mood.
The song was far from a 300+ song. It was very average.
In general I have liked your channel and content, so I feel I have been a bit harsh on you. If I have misunderstood you, then I am sorry for that!

Eden the real winner of this year & the winner of semi-final 2 was robbed by cowardly and hypocritical anti-Semitic jury whose their names will soon reveal and we all will boycott them forever.
It was average top 10 material.

I have zero sympathy for Eden Golan. She's a grown woman who made the choice to represent a country committing war crimes on thousands of innocent people, tried to con her way to the win with all of those ads in different languages to vote for her, and her delegation caused problems for everyone the entire week. Israel does not deserve to be in Eurovision, and the booing heard around the world confirmed that. EBU, you have one job for Eurovision 2025...BAN ISRAEL!!!
