@@euandykes He's using those two guys as examples of people who have been successful in offroad racing and did it in a single seat truck. But that was in the 1980-early 2000s. Now, all front runners have a navigator. The pace is much faster today. But most people dont use rally style notes as precise as these.
That water sucked! WET TIRES WET TIRES thats how I heard it but true navigator style it was cool and calm. I also love Armin giving the call out to get the navigator caught back up. True pro racing thanks for sharing.
First number (50, 180, 60, 350 etc..) tells how many meters to the next event, then he might say "right 4" which is a right turn with a degree of severity of 4, on a scale of 1 to 6, sometimes 1 to 7 (lots of different systems). Lower numbers are sharper turns, with 2 or 1 being 90 degrees (sometimes referred to as "square"). "Left 3 plus" means a little tighter turn than a normal 3, "right 4 minus" means a bit less tight. "Left 2 to 3" means double apex corner. "Flat" means mash it all the way through the turn. Crest is over the top of a hill. Straight and narrow are self explanatory. "No cut" means don't hit the apex, stay a little wide. There's more, but that'll get you started.
schmivig Nice.. I didn't know the navigator role was so big, I used to think it was more of a tradition than a really useful thing, but if it wasn't useful, the driver wouldn't say "hold on, hold on" and ask for the directions.. It's seems to me now that it's really a 50/50 job.. I mean, of course the driver can race alone, but in order to race competitively, he must work together with the navigator..
Melokarma Coincidentally, I started playing it last week, haha. And yes, sometimes I don't look at the map because I'm busy looking at the road, and the navigator gets handy.
breck brockwood well I think they drive slow through those puddles to try and keep their notes and other equipment dry instead of just to keep mud off their visors. That's my best guess.
Love hearing the sound of the engine better then any music.
That engine sounds amazing man
That is INSANE! Gotta admire the driving skills.
Wow, without those pace notes one would be driving off a cliff. It really is team work.

@@zergio84 care to elaborate on what is therefore true in your point of view?

Matheus Moreira Play Dirt 3 with mini map off, after a while you start to depend on your navi he/she is basically your eyes.

Hi
I like Good luck!!! #1
100 left 2 to 3
excitingly unsafe sport :)
Less injuries than say cycling or football.
Those poor drivers having to hold back because of spectators. get them out of the way already so drivers can cut loose.
Anybody else terrified? 😖😖😳😳😳
2:40 eewwww shit swewer water
afraid for water...hahaha

Lost a lot of time...
why don t you use goggle tear offs??? driving through puddles slow and a rag is not right for competition

They are in the truck for up to 10 hours + . That would be a lot of tear offs..
